About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

Very Well Maintained
No complaints here! Course was in great condition and staff knew there jobs and did them well. Pace of play was good.

Course in very healthy in terrific shape!! Greens are at a decent speed and roll out well! Fun layout with a variety of looks with each hole!

In a word: Pitiful
Pitiful - thousands of ruts in the fairways with no grass growing - just dirt. Plays like an old country road.and worse, rides like one. In danger of losing several greens and rough consists mainly of 18" of weeds. About as bad as it can get.
This review was intended and posted for another course. No idea how Golfnow messed it up. Ignore it.
I guess this golfer must have played in the Orange grove adjacent to the course. He definitely didn't play on ccomd. This course is always great.

THERE ARE NO HOT DEALS SHOWING THE LAST WEEK OF JULY. I HAVE LOOK ON SUNDAY AND TODAY MONDAY NO HOT DEALS. I GUESS I'LL GOLF SOMEWHERE ELSE THIS WEEK. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING BEFORE LOOKING FOR THERE HOT DEALS AND ARE NOT THERE???????????????????

Nice Course-Poor Pro Shop staff
First time playing this course. We had one of the first tee times this morning. Pro shop staff was late showing up-7:07 am tee time and several of us waiting around to have the doors unlocked less than 15 mins before tee time. No signs on cRt policy, only guy near carts said ro “let the guy inside know which cart you loaded up in”. Pro shop counter guy was in a horrible mood, telling me he gave my cart number away (that my bags were loaded on). What a negative way to start my day here. Actually walked out with us to verify the cart we had our bags on. Basically “advance blaming” us for thinking of stealing their cart-which I haven’t done in 30+ years of playing golf! If this is your policy, have it in your website, large signed on policy & procedure out by carts, staff there briefing people who are arriving, and have a sign or board outlining this before I get to the counter to confirm my prepaid tee time if it’s a policy that is so critical to your course (that is unique to your course). Course was right. It in very nice shape. Just a horrible start to our day. I’ll never play here again, too many other options that are less of a hassle where that staff actually appreciates golfers!

Diamond in the rough
Great course, lush fairways, fast greens. New golf carts. Sand traps full of water but that's to be expected this time of year. Free drop, lol..

Mt. Dora Review
Tight challenging course with lots of water but course was in great shape, greens were excellent. Played in 3 hours by myself and that was with a 20 minute rain delay. I'd play again and do recommend this course.

Excellent greens
One of the best green and fairways in the area. Very impressed on our first outing. Clean, well maintained, and friendly staff. Only down side was I lost a bunch of balls since there are many water ways but that was my fault :)

CCMD Round
The course was in very good condition and enjoyable to play. The entire course, fairways and greens, underwent aeration about 3 weeks ago and it has returned to it's normally excellent shape.
Unfortunately, we were only able to play 12 holes before thunder and rain forced us off the course.
The staff is always pleasant and helpful.

Out first
Out first at 7:00am so pace was great - finished in 2h-15m. Treated well by staff, who were friendly and helpful. Course was wet from rain. Greens recently punched and very slow rolling. Great course layout and Some pretty Holes. Will return!

Golfing Nightmare
Fairways plugged and uncut that look and feel much like a pasture, greens heavily sanded with both grooves and holes.. Have eliminated social distancing. No warnings on Golfnow whatsoever, Very disappointing and dangerous if you read anything about Covid-19. Are they making money? You bet. Are they saving money? You bet. That's what it is all about, right?

Didn't practice appropriate virus protocols. As concerning cart usages, and bathroom and masks by inside employed, or plastic Shields, said they don't have a problem in Mount Dora!!
