About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

Beautiful layout - friendly professional staff
Excellent layout — very good condition. Pace of play was ok - greens were excellent with good pace. Fund day would definitely recommend playing the course!!

Come ready to play
Awesome course with holes one and two long if you’re not warmed up. The front nine has three par 3, thee par 4, and three par fives.
Requires good shots to score well but is friendly to novice golfers. Various tee boxes for all levels.
I played the greens (blues) and found the course very fair. Looking forward to a second time.

Nice course
Course was busy but moved, greens were not the smoothest but can’t blame it all on that. Short course depending on what tees but it has its challenges due to water. Would play again

Good track, some holes are tricky…
Good pace – 3 ¾ hours as twosome. The course is mostly in good condition, though some places the fairway may require attention. Tee boxes and bunkers are OK. Greens are not to fast, but mostly well kept. Staffs are cordial, especially the lady at the Halfway house.
Some holes need to be played with caution, as the fairway may be narrow and have water on one or both sides.
Overall it is a good place to go and worth the drive from Orlando

Enjoyable Day! Until..........
We were having a very enjoyable round, having brought along to make it a foursome our son and daughter in law, until rounding onto the 10th to be told we were running 20 minutes behind and to speed it up. We explained that we had let 2 groups of twosomes ahead. Much to our amazement, when we got to the 10th tee, we had to wait for two groups ahead, one halfway down the fairway and the other waiting to tee off. We were totally perplexed at why the warning was given. We were waiting as fast as we could!!!!!!

Always very nice
One of our favorite courses in the area. Greens roll very well and are in good shape, very good layout and interesting holes. In better condition than may other places nearby.
Certainly challenging and fair although some holes are definitely pretty simple and some quite difficult.requiring a bit of target golf.
Some local knowledge helps, as there are a few blind water hazards hidden from view on a number of holes.

Fairways were fast
It was really slow out there and teed off at 10:30 and never got done till 3 o’clock

Good, but slow.
Really enjoyed the course. Challenging and good lay out. First time, so now familiar where to be aggressive and where to lay up. Pace of play was slow.

Golf at CC of Mt. Dora
Great day for Golf we were paired up with 2 gentleman who were a lot of fun and good golfers. Play was slow 5 hours. Green were like lightning fast but a good day.

Good course. Slow play
Course is in nice condition. Greens are running fast right now. Pace of play is really slow. They need to space groups out 10-15 minutes longer is my only complaint.
