About
The brilliant Terry LaGree design harmonizes with spectacular scenery to create Royal Oaks -- a unique and picturesque course. Powder sand bunkers dot undulating fairways lined by stately oaks and shimmering water. The course, part of the Audubon system, has preserved mature trees and native vegetation, making it a sanctuary for migratory birds and an unmatched setting for your game. The 6,650-yard par 72 course features four tee boxes on every hole. The front nine is characterized by rolling fairways with up to 35-foot elevation changes, lined with tall Slash Pines and Blue Jack Oaks. The back nine features an open meadow appearance with stands of stately live oaks shading some of the greens. Generous landing areas reward well-placed shots.

Groups Too Close Together -No Rangers
We had a foursome of experienced players and finished the front 9 in 1 hour and 45 minutes which is definitely under normal time for 9 holes however, we had a group of 3 on top of us the whole time that actually hit into us twice. Very aggravating! There are no Rangers on the course and no ball washers. Starting the back half, a different group behind us and on the 10th hole, 2 guys hit pasted us as we approached the green. Ridiculous! Will never play there again There is no time between groups.
More attention please
Greens were different from one to the next. A lot of po everywhere ....especially front side greens. Tee boxes were greening but tee off positions were placed in very undergrown areas.
Great value
This was my second time to play Royal Oaks. Fairways were good. Greens were fast but hard (if you hit them on the fly, you would run off the back so you had to play them links style). Outside patio with inexpensive beer and live music completed a good day of golf.

Tee boxes could use some water.
This is a great course but you always have to wait. Our round took over 4 hours.
Furry Fairways, Great Greens
I have played this course many times. The greens rolled nicely and were in the best shape of any time I have played there. The fairways, however, were inconsistent with a lot of furry areas. The tee boxes were not great, but you could find a place to play from. Overall, a good deal for the money. The greens were really good.

Course is worth playing but still no restaurant for at the turn or afterwards for a cocktail

3 OLD GUYS ENJOYED A PERFECT DAY TO PLAY A ROUND OF GOLF ON A VERY NICE COURSE THAT WAS JUST CHALLENGING ENOUGH TO BE INTERESTING
Nice course
Played in 4 hours. Greens are nice and fairways are in need of water, but had an enjoyable time
