I got lucky with a pitching wedge and landed about 15' from the pin. The pin placement this round was tough with holes tight to the front edges. Photo submitted by knichola on 08/19/2013

Great course but greens were little bit slow for championship course
Great course but greens were little bit slow for championship course
Great course. Good Condition.I
I always enjoy playing here but this time was better than most because of a couple of factors. One, the course was in great condition and two, my partner and I were able to play as a two ball, never being held up or holding anybody up. Playing as a two is always more relaxed and enjoyable, in my opinion, than being hurried due to the time a four ball takes.
Good
course in good shape, lots of water and my balls went into it often
A must
Simply perfect.
Played North/South the holes are not difficult, but you must be a great putter to save your score.
The greens are are real challenge.
All in all one of the best courses in Orlando.
Course was in great shape and staff was very helpful
Course was in great shape. Greens rolled very true and some pin locations were in very challenging positions. Would certainly recommend this course for everyone. Just make sure you are playing the appropriate tees. Easy to bite off more than you can chew on this course by playing the tips.
Favorite Courses in Attractions Area
Grand Cypress does it right. The staff is attentive, the grounds are maintained to a very high standard. The playing conditions are always top notch and the South Course will give you all the challenge you need. You get all the amenities that you would expect. Free Range use prior to your round, more than enough putting and short game practice areas. Water and ice is available at multiple locations throughout the course as well as comfort stations that always seem to be in just the right place. As other top level courses near the attractions (OCN) are cutting back, no more range balls, no more water, no more GPS, no frills of any kind the folks at Grand Cypress continue to provide the top experience. It has become my course of choice because they don't skimp on the things that golfers appreciate. Thanks Grand Cypress
Great design.
We played North to South great design, and greens were in great condition!! Very difficult greens lots of humps and bumps.
Not good value
Very average , nothing special. Front nine on east no waiting ,made turn to north nine 4 groups on one hole waited on every hole . Greens are too small for design . Conditioning average at best. Staff is great very friendly , but I won't be going back. Expensive lunch was not very good , cold French fries and tough pastrami .
Tough but Fun
In typical Jack Nickalus tradition, Grand Cypress is a pretty tough track with bunkers, rough, water, trees and elevated greens to keep things interesting. If you love the game of golf, you will find that this course will give you all that you are seeking. All the clubs in your bag will prove to be useful. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are in good shape (considering overseeding is underway). The practice facility is first rate and the staff is very professionally geared toward customer satisfaction. Unless you play this course often, do not become overly concerned about your score. Instead, enjoy the experience.
Awesome
Best course in Orlando
I have nothing but praise for this course. All of their courses are in great shape. The staff is friendly and helpful. Always on time.
I travel to Orlando a couple of times a year and love playing this course. My wife loves playing this course as well.
They even have a great bar and restaurant for dinner.
Do not hesitate to book this course
Enjoyed it
Difficult tract but lots of fun. Really want to give it another shot now that I know a couple of places not to hit it.
slow play
When I booked as a single, I told the pro shop to pair me up. When I got there, I was told that I would be playing with three others. At tee time the other three weren't there. The starter told me that they went out early.
The pace of play was very slow. As a single, I waited on every shot. The north course took almost 3 hours. It was almost 5 PM. I knew that I could not get finished by dark so I went home.
This was a truly bad experience for me.
Great layout but
The greens were the worse I have ever seen at Grand Cyprus. I was very disappointed. Ruff and waste area were being worked on but they too weren't what I had expected. We golf here at least 6 times a year. Quite surprised at the conditions and the greens.
Superb! This is the top place in Orlando!
This is really a must! Everything there is at the highest possible level. Staff is very friendly, training facility great. The course is from the back tees very challenging and in pristine condition. Tee boxes, fairways and bunkers in great shape. Greens are very fast. The service out there is excellent. The Clubhouse restaurant offers superb service too, very good meal and surprisingly at a regular price. Overall – to me this is possibly the only course I’ve played in Orlando that really disserves 5 stars! And this all – thanks to a hot deal offered by Golfnow.com – for a sensational low rate.
Top tier golf course.
The couse has 3 nines. We played the South and North. Both nines are top notch but the South, which is more difficult, is exceptional. The hole variety and asthetics are right up there with nicest courses I've played all over the country. I've played here many times and the East Nine is excellent as well.
Best course in Orlando
Everything about this golf course is 5 stars, immaculate playing conditions great variety of holes great service from all staff, A real pleasure to play
Great Value
I have played this course about three times a month for the past four years. It is always in good shape, and the layout is challenging. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, I would not pay full price to play the course, always use Golf Now and Residnent status to get lower rate. I hope the new management does not change anything!
golf courses you have to play when in orlando
one of the best days golf i had played with two members sandy and darren would like to thank them ,for the course what can i say loved every minuite it was demanding your skill at golf but what a joy will play here again for sure one of the best golf courses in florida byfar the staff our friendly and people are too.
Trying playing it from the back Tees
Tough, tough course, landing areas are small and the greens very grainy!
Very solid resort course
Beware the south 9, it's no joke. Great track, conditions were better than average. You really need to know the course to score well as course knowledge will really help you, especially on the south 9. Great facility, restaurant and pro shop.
