Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Love playing Viera. Course is always in good shape
It’s way overpriced
For that much cost on the green fees…..it’s not worth the price at all. They got greedy with the price. What ashame.
Slow play
Last 3 times played there slow pace of play. Not enough space between tee times
Did not abide by GolfNow Price
Booked a tee time mid morning and the course did not charge the price that I booked on GolfNow. Stated golf now doesn’t update their prices.

Gotta Play Viera East!
Viera East has long been a favorite course! It is a consistently well-maintained course. Recent rains have taken their toll on the grounds, leaving many squishy, muddy areas to avoid, mostly in the roughs. The Starter did warn us to avoid these areas, and I don't expect them to be around long once the rains diminish.
What I love most about this course is the wide fairways with plenty of challenging terrain. I can pull or push a shot and not get into a lot of trouble. It requires an intermediate player like myself to exercise tact as well as guts! All-around enjoyable!
Decent Course
Poor tee time management. Winter time value is not great unless you get a hot deal. Summer rates are good. I would definitely play here again as long as I don't get backed up at the turn. The food in the bar/ restaurant was great. Hot mama chicken sandwich was fire. Staff was friendly and apologetic about the back up. Range is nice, hitting off grass. Fairways and greens in good shape. Tee boxes were a little worn.
