About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

They just punched the front 9
Front 9 punched. Back nine only on Monday 5/23. Not sure when it goes back to all 18. Greens are nice and quick.
snails pace put nice
Have three groups of 4 in front of our twosome playing a scramble on a Saturday at 11 am that was very slow. Really caused a log jam on the front nine. We had 5 groups backed up behind us due to this. Dave the starter was very nice and informative and the highlight of the day. The older gentleman in the pro shop was nice but seemed a little confused.

Was very satisfied and of course
I was very satisfied with the course, there’s a couple dry spots with dirt. Other than that the course is in great shape. Young guy that works in the pro shop the first time I played there maybe he was having a bad day, he acted like he was doing me a favor. Second time I played he had a different attitude maybe because I told him to smile it doesn’t cost anything. Definitely will play this course at least once a week.

I haven't played Viera East since their fees went through the roof , I guess to pay for all the improvements.

Viera East in rough shape
Unfortunately, fairways and greens lacked grass and were in poor shape

The pace of play of the front nine was great. we made the turn to the back nine and hit the ole log jam! the excuse I was given "we had a large group" completely unacceptable. The course, the management, and restaurant are great.

Course is in beautiful condition. Pace of play could have been better. But if marshals aren’t out watching guys shanking tee shots then what do you do? And we had that guy in front of us. Still a very enjoyable course to play as always
