About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Very disappointed
I really don’t know what is going on with this course. 3 hrs to play nine holes! We left after the front nine. They obviously need to look at whether their times set between the times is enough. At the 10th hole there were 4 foursomes waiting in line. Crazy!!!
And, the course really isn’t in that good of shape. Sand bunkers are like concrete. Greens are ok but clearly not as good as they should be.
Overall I don’t think I’ll play here again. The course really needs to understand what is going wrong and fix it!

5 rounds here for my vacation. Enjoyed every minute on the course. Friendly staff, nice layout...a good test of golf. Shout out to the cart barn staff...loved our conversations.

Great course
3rd time playing here this week. Course is dry but improving with every rainfall...a very good test of golf.

Liking this course a lot!
My 2nd round at Viera East (and of the year). It was very windy (2 club) so the course wasn't crowded. Played 18 in under 4 hours. Conditions were very good given the lack of rain and the course is a very good challenge, especially in these conditions.
Had a family emergency just as I was about to tee off. Eddie drove me personally about 17 miles away to fix the problem. I couldn't be more grateful. Will play my 3rd round tomorrow and already have two rounds booked for next week.

Disappointed
This course is way overpriced!! Plus , we booked 3 on teeoff. Brought 4th and they charged him 20$ more. This is a local course for me but friends travel about an hour and 30 minutes. We will not be returning anytime soon. Course is dry and dying in a lot of areas. Prices should match the conditions. Especially 11:22 time on a Tuesday!! Too many better options!!!

Viera East Day
Course was in fair shape. Greens were spotty, fairways thin, not usual for this course. Did enjoy the round, but pace of play was really slow. 5 hour round. Ranger was around but still slow which is unusual. Will play here again and would recommend it.

Drought makes for fast fairways
This part of florida is in the midst of a drought. Fairways are fast and getting thin. Maintenance staff are doing a great job in keeping the course playable. Thanks to the staff

Wide fairways
Fairways are wide with no blind tee shots verforgiving do not let the water scare you as it only y comes into play on a few holes. A fairly easy design makes for good scoring. Course is well manicured but is drying out because of the drought florida us presently experiencing. Will play again soon

Burnt slow and not worth the money.
So 10am on a Monday tee time waited 20 mins on 3rd tee. Come to find out there were two groups of two (not paired up) course was baked weeds everywhere just nowhere the condition it needs to be in to warrant the 60.00 price. There are many courses cheaper in better condition within distance. This course is a wonderful layout and lovely to play when it is in the better condition. So maybe in a year or so it will be better.
