About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Nice course
This course gives plenty of room for driver. Greens were slow. Some very good holes.

Worth playing again
Course is very good layout in fair to good conditions. Greens were good. Fairway, traps etc only fair. Was a 4.5 hour round. A little slow but not horrible.

Good value, nice course
Nice variety of holes & routing. Course conditions are well above average. Pace was on the slow side, 4 hrs 20 minutes; biggest backups were on most par 3's (3-4 groups on those holes). No beverage cart. Still an overall good experience.

Good value
2nd time playing VE. I like the course and it’s convenient to where I was staying. Pace of play was faster than last time but just ok..greens were a tad slow. It has potential to be very good.

Great place to play
Excelent lay out friendly staff. Nice lay out but fairways are too wide. Should add few bunkers in the middle of fairways .

NICE improvements
Viera east has dumped some money into the property. They put a bar outside the back of pro shop, new men's and woman's room, redid the proshop and are now redoing the kitchen. They have also installed a lot of new concrete cart paths on course. They have to clean up some of the sod they pulled for paths and drainage, BUT course is looking great. Greens are fast and true as usual. Tee boxes a little beat up but overall GREAT value for money and love to see all the improvements. I hope price does not go up. LOL

Viera East going backwards
I’ve been playing here for four years and the course is getting expensive way too expensive for the fact that they don’t manage it well Our round took 4 hours and 30 minutes plus. The people in front of us quite it was taking so long. Which means it would have been longer….
The Ranger came by three times. He said there was nothing he could do. The people in front of us were three holes behind. We eventually passed them when the people in front of us quit.
The price is 30% more
You have to book online or it’s about 10 bucks more
They took away the gps on the carts
The course is not in great condition either.
They have a lot of parts that are grounds under repair, but they don’t mark them with white paint
I will say the greens were rolling fast and true
The upgrades to the facility are nice but who cares if the price is high and the pace is painfully slow
Played on 1/20. Behind group that played so slow we had to quit. We saw the course marshal driving by this group on more than one occasion and said nothing to them. On two occasions we stopped the marshal to request that he ask the group to move or let us through and he was recalcitrant and said "there are 200 players" on the course. We later asked him again to speed them up and he said he didn't see anything wrong. Either he was gaslighting us or is definitely in need of training. It was so unbearable that we went around this group at #13 and saw the next group was 3 holes ahead. So we paid for 18 holes but only got to play 17 holes because he refused to do anything about the problem.
