About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Nice fairways
Nice course, aside from sand traps it’s relatively wide open. Pace was good, greens were over sanded making putting more challenging. I’d be back if I was local

Great Track
Great place but the pace was super slow, need the starter on the beginners to keep the pace of play out here! Saw the cart girl several times for refreshments!

Cosmetics of course poor. No grass on several tee boxes. Scarred fairways. Bare patches of areas throughout course. Very stoic staff.

Great as usual BUT
One of my favorite courses, greens were back up to speed from all the rain, however I took issue with the areas just around the greens. Lots of bare ground,hard pan and in lower areas very soggy but still very very tight lies. In my opnion, probalbly the most difficult of any chip - pitch ever. Don't wear white. The season is here so I wonder if this issue will have the time to get resolved.
