About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Nice course
Lots of water but easy to play if you keep it straight. Most greens are very quick

Good course, longer on windy days.
The course is fairly open, in good condition, recent work. Windy day made for a much longer play, but still fun.

Course Under Repair
Course has many construction areas as they are putting in a new irrigation system. Construction going on by clubhouse. Might want to wait a while before playing the course

Love those course!
One of my favorite courses in the area. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition. They have done and are doing a lot of upgrades and the bar/ restaurant is great.

Wide friendly fairways
The course was in great shape, the bunkers were well cared for and the same was very nice to play from. Fairways we're wide and friendly. The greens were smooth and rolled very well.

Friendly front desk and starter, Perfect day to play with two friendly ladies, the course is pretty good in spite of upgrades of the course. Always have a great time playing here. Highly recommended

Not as nice as I remembered but ok.
A nice layout but an irrigation system is being installed so lots of ground under repair and one hole completely closed. If I had know I would have played elsewhere. I think it will be much better when the irrigation system is complete and up and running.

Overpriced for the conditions
First time playing this course. It was ok. They are makes some changes. It was ok. The price should have been discounted as their signature hole was closed and other factors made it overpriced at the time. I might return since the changes are in place.

Only 17 holes are open but course I s in excellent shape and well maintained

Good , but 15 is closed, no warning.
The course is in good shape for now they are doing some work on it and have 15 totally shut down. Unfortunately no mention from the proshop, golfnow or starter. Pace was good, greens are rolling a bit slow, but in good shape.
