About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

One of the nicest courses in the area
This course is absolutely beautiful. The layout is challenging and interesting. Lots of wildlife, super friendly staff, fast golf carts, fast pace of play,. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were beautiful. My only complaint is that one of the holes was completely closed as they were repairing some water lines and drainage pipes.
No 10th hole and no hot dog
Not a bad course and worth the money. But…..the 10th hole was closed due to some pipe laying activity. It didn’t look like storm drains. Also, they couldn’t produce a hot dog at the turn in fast enough to get one and continue the round.

We were only able to play 17 holes because course is putting in a new irrigation system. Greens has recently been aerated and ball bounced when putting
Viera
Like the course and will play again. They are making some upgrades and the 10th hole was closed for installation of new irrigation. The greens had nmbeen sanded and punched and there was some other process that had been done which didn't make the greens great, but otherwise the course was in really nice condition. If past conditions are any indication the greens will be nice once they come back from the treatment.

Construction
Greens had just been aerated and could only pl16 holes. A new watering system is being installed. It be several months before I play this course again l.

Friendly staff, the greens are fast but manageable, fairways well maintained, very safe for solo player & the pace was good enough for me

Great value
I found a fairly cheap tee time compared to the other courses in the area. Got to tee off a little early from my tee time. Was teamed up with 2 above average golfers. Greens were pretty quick and not punched. Course was in overall nice shape.

Great golf course and good price
One of my favorite courses around. Compared to Duran and about 20-25% cheaper. Staff is great and always good pace of play so far.

Dry Days of Spring
Little to no rain in recent weeks made the course hard and dry. Greens were still receptive and fast. One par three was closed due to new irrigation system being installed. No notification of 17-hole course when booking tee time.
