Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Great course
Worth a few extra bucks to play a course this nice.
Pace
The course is nice and in good condition But they sent three groups out of 15 minutes. Took a full FIVE hours to play. Had to wait on every hole.
Good course, slow play
The course is in good condition overall, the greens are a little slow, fairways are good. Fun course to play, but slow play makes it difficult to enjoy. Foursome in front of us was hitting multiple balls from the first tee, throwing clubs and simply taking too long to play their shots.
Anytime you are playing a round for over 5 hours it takes away from the experience.
Slow play
5 hour round with a 11:45 tee time, no Marshall. . Bunkers all need sand refreshing. Can’t recommend at the current rate. Hopefully summer rates will arrive soon
Good Course
The overall rating would have been excellent, however there was noticeable thick sand especially on the back nine greens.
I was putting fairly well today and had 11 pots for the front nine and 19 for the back nine. I do realize however they have to do these things.
Overall the staff was fantastic and the course is a good value for the money.
Greens
Course was in good condition but greens had been aerated with small holes
Value for the money…
This course is a good course, they were working on the greens on several holes i.e. significant sand on multiple greens. The practice area- Range, Putting Greens are very good. However because of available room, not a true area for chipping.
The crew from clubhouse to folks who work outdoors were top notch. Put extra money in your wallet for food, because you will need it…
The grass is beginning to grow
Grass in fairways greens and rough is beginning to grow which improves golf experience. Greens were aerated with small punches but didn’t cause putting problems
Nice Place to Play
The staff is very friendly and helpful for all our needs. The start time was accurate for our round, going off the back nine first. No players ahead or behind playing too close, so, the pace was great. As with a good course, the greens were fast, the bunkers well groomed, the fairways in nice shape and even the tee blocks were good, Water and traps come into play on at least 1/2 the holes and create an interesting challenge for those who don't go straight up the middle. The layout is fine and is scenic here and there. Would recommend this course when in the area. Pricey, as most courses are this year.
Just a good time
Played Shingle Creek the Saturday before, and Viera East was worth the value over and over again. My cousin from Canada said he would prefer to play here every day of the week. That’s saying something, conditions overall were great, greens were among the best in central FL and you can’t beat the price. Big cheers to the greeenskeeper
Enjoyable
We had a great round with good conditions on the entire course. Good layout and greens were very playable. Would definitely go back.
