About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Not worth the money
Terrible pace of play. They jammed foursome after foursome so you would hit and wait 10 minutes. You could never get any rhythm. We had 3 foursome on every hole. We asked the ranger and he just said we are busy. It took us 5 hours to play 14 holes and we just gave up After that and left. It could be nice if they spaced the groups out some. I will never play this course again.
Excellent playability
Played with two friends and then joined by a single. Play is as fast as the greens. Lots of water and bunkers. Ball placement is important .Every thing was on time. Friendly staff, new carts, clean.

FAST GREENS
Course is in great shape considering the weekend rains. Greens are super fast but roll true. Good pace of play.

Fast greens
Rolled true, not a hint of sand in them. Tough pin placements. Nice shape.

Greens were sanded and difficult to putt.
We should have been made aware of this at time of booking and at check in.

great day at Viera East
Played a round as a single today. Ran across a few twosomes who waved me right through. The course was in outstanding condition. The greens were smooth and really fast. If I could have judged the speed better on some of the longer putts, my score would have been much better. The staff is professional and friendly I will definitely return again and again.

Always in good shape
A very good course with nice amenities. The greens are lightning. fast but reasonable pin placement. The course is always nicely maintained so kudos to the maintenance team.
