About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Great pace of play!
I walked on as a single and was hopping to play from a shorter tee area.. Two of the group decided to play the course from 6500 yards, and I joined them. I struggled with the distance but it was still very enjoyable. A great pace of play (under 3:15!). The greens were still sandy from the aeration but were very quick and rolled very well. Fairways were plush, some tee areas were patchy. I would definitely play here again!

Played it 2yrs ago and conditions sucked I said I wouldn’t play here again someone told me they made improvements and yes they did will play again

One of the best in the area.
Like playing Viera East. Course condition is pretty good considering it's the dead of summer. The place tends to get busy and expensive in the winter season but our foursome played in about 4 hours and never had to wait.

Viera East is a Gem
Starting with the location that is near the Florida East coast but very easy to get to. The Staff is both friendly and helpful, the amenities include something for everyone. A small but accommodating restaurant with a view of some of the course - some good selections and prices for food and drink are very reasonable. The course is tailored and in fantastic shape with several tee boxes and blended set ups for the right mix of distance, challenge and allowing for reward. Any and all comers, no matter what the skill level will be tested but have ample chance to score. The greens are generous with a mix of raised and sloped offering speed and challenge to keep you interested on all putts. This is a Florida gem that calls and if you are a true golf lover, you should answer and play. I will definitely play again and offer this to my dear friends as a treat.
