Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Great experience
We booked a 2pm tee time and it was busy but the place was on point with communication and directing us for our first time. Course was in great shape from tee boxes to greens. Definitely will go again.
Good course good condition
One of the better courses in the area. . The greens here are the appeal. Always true and always very fast. Ranger told me they were running 11.5 on most greens. I have to agree. Staff is first rate. Layout is fair but challenging enough. The only complaint has nothing to do with the groundskeepers but the course is extremely dry and with the amount of traffic, it is feeling worn down a little. Nothing that the summer rains won’t fix. Overall this is my go to course on this part of the east coast.
Good course
Some areas on the course needed water, but overall course is in very good condition considering we are in a drought and compared to other courses. I do like this course and definitely recommend it.
Long course, good shape, fast greens.
The course is in good shape, it plays long, chances for driver. Greens are running fast, some greens have weeds that make putting bumpy, overall good. Redone greenside bunkers make it more playable, some fairway bunkers have dirt/sand. Sunny/windy day made for good golf fun, should be on your list.
Nice course-Fast Greens-Friendly Staff
While the coarse was a bit overpriced for a Florida resident, the greens were fast, the staff was friendly and the pace of play was pretty darn good. After the round the food and the grill was very good and the staff in the Grill were very friendly and kept things moving nicely. Would be helpful if they were more price conscious of Florida residents, as local residents play about half of what everyone else does. But it is a good little course to play.
Very Nice and challenging Course! Just don’t be in a rush!
Play here once a year on vacation…. Highly recommended as it is one of the best courses overall in the Cape Canaverale /cocoa beach area…!
Only downside is like most courses in the area the place is packed the majority of the time. Rangers can only do so much so expect a 5+ hour round…gotta be patient and have nowhere to be golfing on vacation at a public course!!!

Great day. Good price, course in good shape for time of the year. Staff great. Good pace.
To dry
To dry, nothing has greened up yet.3/25/25 Greens are ok but need water. Fairways are spotty. Still in winter brown Probably will be a lot nicer once the grass grows. I would give it at least 6 weeks. Friendly staff. The best course now is Duran. Apparently they water more often.
