The Sarcastic Starter
If you are looking for an enjoyable round avoid Turtle Creek. Arrived at the course and checked in and headed to the starter shack. The starter started barking about getting in position and moving our cart out of the way as they were busy and the cart staff had to get more carts out. We were parked by at least eight other carts and did not seem to be obstructing traffic. While waiting to be directed to proceed to the tee box a large group approached the Starter and he again was disrespectful to our group. The starter grumbled that he thought we wanted to get off early and should have teed off. That may have been an option if there had not been a group on the first tee. After enduring the agonizing two and one half hour front nine another Starter was approached and asked if someone could speak to the group in front of our group and ask them to play faster since they were two holes behind. The Starter said the club did not use Rangers and we would have to "Deal with it." In addition to the overly "friendly" staff the greens looked like the lunar surface due to unrepaired ball marks. Will be my last round at the appropriately named TURTLE (slow play) Creek Golf Club!
Play here the winter season. Gets your irons sharp.

The operations is understaffed. We made the turn and nearly waited for 15 minutes just to purchase food, drinks, and snacks. The poor young man was by himself running from the kitchen to the check in desk while struggling to assist 10 of your customers. He was very apologetic and should never be in that position as an employee. This course is not bad for the layout. The course could certainly use more maintenance improvements, especially the greens and the fairways could use more TLC. I'm not sure when I'll play here again but I hope to see better changes in 2023.
Great Layout
Layout requires good shot making. The only issues I have are there are few snacks available unless you go to the restaurant and many of the golfers there have and use NO etiquette. Other than that really enjoy playing there.
Never a bad round at Turtle Creek!
Course is in great condition, Friendly staff , very reasonable rates and amazing food at the restaurant.

Beautiful course but a real challenge. Take an extra sleeve or two ;)
