Immaculate Greens
Lovely little course in Hesperia. I think there was a cart girl but I never saw her, full service bar however you can hit b4 & at the turn. The only real downsides to course is its gopher city, so I'm sure some balls get lost down holes & mounds the gophers have dug, some dead in the middle of the fairway, they were everywhere. Fairways otherwise in good shape. I would actually like the rough longer after the intermediate cut to help with sight lines. Barely any of the tee shots are straight, most have severe angles or doglegs to approach too so longer rough would help with some of the sight lines & aiming of shots. Greens were absolutely immaculate, sans a few divot marks jerks didn't fix but they ran true & fast, some of the best greens I've been on in the southwest & California.
Great Day
Play the course often. Ended up playing with another single and we had a great time. Plan on playing the course as a twosome soon.
Best Bloody Mary's in the high desert.
I love this course. Greens are nice. Usually get a nice breeze during the summer and there are big shade trees everywhere to keep you out of the 100+ sun during the summer.
Good course that's getting better
The only real complaint I have, is that the ponds /reservoirs are still empty.

Getting better, but not perfect.
It's been awhile since I've played this course, and was pleased to see that they've made some improvements in their mantaintainance. I just wish they would fill the ponds back up, even if it does cost me a few extra lost balls.
Hesperia Golf Course
Hard to believe this course once hosted the US Open! It looks better than it has in a while, but it still needs a bunch of work. Trees are over grown, bunkers a hard dirt and the squirrel infestation is out of control!!! I actual had a ball drop into a squirrel hole in the fairway…gone!
Like I said, they are slowly making some improvements. A few of the tee boxes were being re-seeded and the carts are new. The greens are soft and roll very slow. I don’t think they have been rolled in quite a while. I didn’t see any weeds growing in most of the greens, so I know someone is paying some attention to them.
The snack/bar was closed by 4:00pm on a Saturday, really?
Great improvement
The course has improved so much over the last 2 years. Greens are in great shape, and over all the course is in good shape. The sand traps are very hard, no loose sand, so you have to play it like a tight lie and not a real sand trap if you land in one. That is the only complaint I had.
