Golfer Reviews
Hesperia golf
I really like this course. Always in great condition and a challenging layout.
My only complaint was the pace of play on the back 9. Someone must have been really slow as it took over 2.5 housrs to complete holes 10-18. On how 18 there was a group on the green, a group in the fairway and 2 groups on the tee. We were waiting nearly 10 minutes on most of the back nine to tee off.
Different in a good and fun way
This is the greenest of the four local courses I play. It's got a lot of elevation changes. A few dried up water spots but that's what you expect up here. It has really cool split-level fairways. It has a couple of forced carries which I happened to carry it was I was stoked. I saw a lot of filled and packed divots, and repaired pitch marks. I note this because it's always a good sign when membership respects the course. It was a great round. Thanks
Good round
Some tee boxes a little rough, lots of squirrel holes and I wish golfers would fix the greens.
Course is in great shape
The course conditions are excellent. On weekdays there are very few people playing. I was able to walk all 18 in just under 3 hours. Highly recommend
Updates are great.
I played this course a few years back and vowed never to return. There were gopher holes in the fairways, greens were ill maintained and brown patches everywhere. It was awful. However, in 2020 during the pandemic the City of Hesperia moved to rejuvenate the course and boy does it show. No gopher holes in the now green and lush fairways, the greens are clear of any and all damage. And best of all no one seems to know of the rejuvenated state of the course so there's hardly any one there. Ever. With all that said it is still a Hesperia, CA golf course banking too much on the fact that they were a PGA tour destination about 30 some odd years ago. Those days are long. So don't charge golfers as if they're still here. If you couldn't care less about playing a full blown par 72 course save your money and go to Ashwood in Apple Valley. It's and executive course 5 miles away and 50 times better. Still kudos for the updates.
There 5 some a nd 6 some so pace of play very slow. This is very good course and good layout too bad that poor management on the course. We play 4 some and finish the round in 5 hours we tee off at 6 am thats very bad pace of play
Progress
Greens are definitely getting better but still not great. I’d like to see some water be filled in the areas where water should be. I’ve heard talks about it for awhile now but not seeing any progress. The course is definitely improving in the right direction but has the potential to be a top course in the high desert. I look forward to playing many more rounds her and look forward to the improvements.
Absolutely beautiful course. Fairways are in perfect condition. Greens were soft and slow but great shape.
Can’t wait to play there again!
Course is is good Shape!
Course was in very good condition and pace of play was good for a Sunday - Hadn't been there in about five years but hope to get back again much sooner than than
Worth the drive
There was gusty winds that day and we had to course to ourselves. The layout was quite nice and just a 45 minute drive from Rancho Cucamonga. Definitely will play here again.
