Golfer Reviews
Conditions starting to deteriorate
The maintenance of the course is really going downhill, particularly the greens. Every green has a fungus resembling weeds that makes putting complete guesswork. Also the sand traps have no sand and the tee boxes are covered in divots. This is a big change from a few months ago where the conditions were pretty good. The fairways are still decent considering it's January,
Hopefully thigs will improve in the spring, but for now the course is not in good shape.
Hidden gem
Proshoo guy is super nice. Course is challenging but fun in layout. It's a long course. 6800 yard from blue tee, yet fairways are kind of narrow. Fairway condition is excellent without any spot with soil or mud. Well groomed. Greens roll true and well maintained. For the price, this course is great value. I will bring my friends here and play together. Love it.
Maintenance perfection
I just want to say that I love this course and was very pleased with the way the maintenance team has made this course to be a very plush and beautiful course from tee to green,so kudos to them, excellent job!!!
I was thrilled to death to play a course like this one and you'll find no other course that is as well kept as this course is and I'm giving it 5 stars for that reason.
The pace of play wasn't even a question as I was the second one out playing single to an older gentlemen who was in front of me and only played nine holes.
I teed off on a Tuesday at 6:50 am and had the entire back nine to myself which I've never experienced before and was absolutely loving it.the course layout is really good with narrow fairways,so hit them straight or you'll find trouble in the tree lines, rough and the desert brush and gulleys and washes that run through mostly on the back nine, but it rewards you if you are in the fairways as they roll nice and the greens were a b+ that day,so all and all I recommend this course to anyone due to the conditions of the course, the price, the pace of play and the staff and I will be back to play again, thankyou!!
Great track off the beaten path
Played Hesperia about 10 times. Hit it straight or else. Trees and high desert scrub is up close and personal if you miss the fairway. if you end up in a dried wash with scrub everywhere, you first have to get your ball out of that and through a tree line just to get to the rough or fairway. The penalties are severed for wild shots. Keep it in the short grass and you will have a good time.
Great challengingly course
Our group was first off 707 am we let a couple of singles play through so we had a good pace. The greens were well maintained a little fast but rolled true. The fairways we’re lush with great lies. A large storm basin winds throughout the course making for some narrow fairways and trouble if your not hitting them straight. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly all this at 35 buck!.I’d like to keep it our little secret but this course deserves all the praise.
Hesperia
I haven’t played in 2 years. It was a perfect day out there. Weather was awesome and that made for a good game. Staff were friendly, hot dog and Bloody Mary sealed the deal. Brought a friend with me that plays all over SoCal and he enjoyed it as well. We’ll be going back.
Tough but great
Perfect greens. You must be in the fairways or you’re dead.
Awesome day in hesperia
For a Tues morning going out a single meeting up with two really wonderful gentlemen plus course conditions which were impressive greens on great shape. To me a traditionalist it brought out what Hesperia golf course is and should be. Recommend highly staff great just a A plus
Very nice “ squirrels!!”
Have played this course for many years. But this year, this course is in the best shape I ever seen it….Greens, fairways look awesome!!! Just 2 little problems if u want to get picky. The bunkers are hard and there are so many squirrels. But they get out of the way…..Great course lots of fun.
No one wants to play with dirty balls.
This used to be one of the cheapest golf courses around, so I could overlook the fact that it wasn't always maintain as well as it should be. Now that the course is under new management, the cost of a round of golf has increased significantly, which I expected. And while they have done some improvements to the clubhouse and course, there's still a lot of work to be done. My main complaint during this last round of golf, is that every single ball washer was dry and lacked towels..
