Best bang for your buck.
This golf course is a true gem. Very green and challenging. Must stay in the fairway, otherwise the tree trouble is a challenge. I’ve played courses that are pricier and look like dog doo doo. This course is a must.
Course was overbooked on Sunday morning club house was sending 4somes out with 4 seperate carts 1 bag of clubs between 4 guys taking 5 shots to get to the red tees ramming carts slidding carts Everytime they stoped it's a free fo all out there
Just drive down the hill
The green fees for courses in the high desert are now comparable to much nicer courses down the hill. You can dumpster dive up here for $45 or you can play on lush fairways and well maintained greens and tee boxes for $55 down the hill. Hesperia has squirrel holes everywhere. Tee boxes are atrocious (good luck finding even footing), don't hit out of the bunkers unless you want a rock gouging the face of your wedge, and greens are worse than the tee box. Minimally maintained course. Prototypical high desert golf experience.
5 Hours of Torture
The course was okay overall. Pretty average overall fairways and greens. The bunkers are like trying to hit out of freshly poured concrete that's drying.
The worst part was we were at hole 1, and the Hesperia Men's Club of EIGHT people were about to tee off. The starter seeing two of us ready to play decides that the group of 8 with and average age of 58 that all hit the ball 120 yards at a time should go first.
You could tell he just didn't have a spine and didn't want to upset their little men's club.
Well, we ended up taking 5 hours to play 18. No marshall or any kind of employee going around to check the pace of play either. No one seeing a group of 8 dudes with half of them wearing depends in case they swing a little too hard, playing putt putt golf 100 yards at a time holding up the entire course. Absolute misery playing at that pace.
Way better courses around, with a lot better fairways, bunkers and greens, out there without sacrificing 5 hours where you only are playing about 1 hour of it.
I could have played 36 anywhere else in the amount of time it took to finish 18 at Hesperia.
Love this course
This course is a hidden gem, great shape, not crowded and very reasonable priced
Great Value!!
We booked this course based off the recent good reviews and I am pleased to say I was not disappointed!! It was a great layout with nice Par 3's ... definitely plays long from all tee's. The tee boxes, fairways & greens were in good shape. This is worth the drive out to play. Some fairways are narrow so your accuracy will be tested off the tee box. I recommend this course and I would come back to play anytime. Carts are also very nice!
Incredible Value
Can't believe how nice this course is for the price. Greens and fairways are outstanding. Couple of long holes especially if you play the blues. Bunkers leave a lot to be desired but so do most courses in the high desert or inland empire. Not much in terms of food available, lady at the bar said she had hot dogs or she could microwave me a hamburger..... Also, i think it's strange that there is no water available on the course other than at the club house. Hesperia is HOT yet nowhere to fill up your water? Apart from that i Loved it and will be back often.
Great course
No complaints. My favorite course in the high desert
Great Course
Played this course and it was in great condition. I’ve played this course over the years and it has gotten better. The staff is friendly and the carts aren’t beat up. Definitely would recommend and will be coming back this month to play
