Great course to work on your short game

Desert Willow is an executive golf course with two par 4's on the front, and two on the back 9. The par 3s on the course are of decent length, typically what you would find on a full length golf course which is good. It allows you to practice your short game as each hole does offer its own specific chalenges. The course was in excellent shape when I played. The greens ran true and the tee boxes were level without too many divots. Fortunately, I did not hit any sand traps during my round but the traps seemed to have decent sand in it as well (not those empty dirt traps you find at many other golf courses that are not properly maintained). In all, it was a very enjoyable round. I would highly recommend for the novice golfer, or even the advanced golfer looking to improve their short game.

Fantastic course!

Even though this is a Par 60 course, it is one of the best I have ever played. The tees, greens and fairways have been impeccable every time I’ve been there. It’s perfect to hone in your iron play, yet there are holes long enough to use driver. The layout is challenging with sloped and undulating greens. I play there every chance I get.

David shouldn’t have a job

david the starter shouldn’t have a job as a “course marshal” 0 customer service. front desk said they could fit us in. got there at 2:35, didn’t tee off till 3:30. let 4 groups go in front of us. all bad players, spraying all over the course when it’s cart path only. we are latino descent, looked as us like we were terrible golfers. then tried to question our handicaps because we tee’d up from the tips on 1 (8 HDCP btw) i’ve never been treated so poorly on a golf course. i love the layout of desert willow but david the starter absolutely ruined this course for me and my friends. We will not be back ever.

Had 3 pm tee time. During round told we had to be off course at 6. No problem...then they stuck in several groups on the back nine. Ran is off course with 2 holes to go. Told if we did not leave we would not be able play there again. No problem. Should not offer a tee time that can't complete. Apparently the residents do not want golfers on course after 6. Then last tee time should be 2.

As usual, the condition of the course is great. Greens are super fast. During this heat, not many people on the course, so it plays even quicker than normal for an executive course. Staff were all friendly. Nice to play in under 3 hours. Great value for the cost.
