Good
Beautiful view and Green lawn is very Good
Avoid at all cost
I had a bad experience here about a year and a half ago when they pushed my Cartner out 25 mins early and I wasn’t even there yet and they were so rude that I said I’d never come back. This experience was even worse. I get to the starter I say hello he doesn’t say a word and then 30 seconds later he says “last name?” So I’m already like here we go again. He pairs me up with 3 people in their 70s (2 men, one woman) as we tee off they have signs saying something like “drive in rough only” which in all my years golfing iv never seen. Were are playing well having a great time till we get to the end of the 5th hole where the tyrant starter came up to me and the 70 year old man in my cart and basically starts screaming at us that we are 2 holes behind the group in front of us and we need to catch up OR ELSE. Mind you we were 3 minutes behind pace of play not being able to drive in the fairway. Then he tells us you can drive into the fairway and back. So I look at him and say “so basically 90 degree rule?” Like how every other course in world says it. After that the starter stalked us from tee box to fairway to greens for 5 holes. Meanwhile they are blasting reminders of us being behind on the cart. So at this point nobody could play under these conditions of being stalked by some old man on a power trip. Now we get to the 11th hole and he tries to stop us before the tee box and I drove right around him. Now he aggressively walks towards me like he’s going to fight me and ohhh boy do I wish he tried. At the end of this hole the woman I’m paired with basically in tears tells me they are leaving they cannot play being “harassed” by the staff. So we all left and I blew up right in front of the practice green. I HOPE OWNERSHIP READS THIS. STARTERS ALL NEED TO BE FIRED ASAP, MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO BE FIRED, AND THE OWNERS SHOULD BE ABSOLUTELY ASHAMED OF HOW THEY TREATED THESE 3 70 YEAR OLD PEOPLE WHO DID NOTHING WRONG. I PERSONALLY WILL NEVER PLAY THIS COURSE EVER AGAIN. I TRULY HOPE ALL OF YOU WHO READ THIS ALSO NEVER PLAY THIS COURSE AGAIN BECAUSE THATS THE ONLY WAY ANYTHING WILL CHANGE. IMAGINE THESE WERE YOUR PARENTS AND SOME GUY MAKING 11 DOLLARS AN HOUR SCREAMING AT THEM ON A GOLF COURSE THAT THEY PAID TO PLAY ON. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING THE STARTER IS LUCKY HE DIDNT GET WHAT HE DESERVED RIGHT THERE ON THE TEE BOX. THIS IS THE WORST COURSE IN VEGAS AND POSSIBLE THE GLOBE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Nice course
Had a great round with friend & family. Course was great. Friendly service
Nice course wish I played all 18 holes
We started in the back nine and only played nine. Course was in great shape but couldn’t finish due to weather. It was a bummer no rain check with hot deals from GolfNow. Bummer! Definitely will recommend a must play and hope to get another chance.
Beautiful course
We had a great game!! A bit slow! Got cold, so only finished 13 holes!!
Nice Course
Nice course. Driving range, layout, easy roughs, nice fairways and fair greens. I would recommend
Pace is ridiculous
They bunch up the tee times so close the lace of play has become ridiculous. I left after 9 it was at close to 2:45. I used to love this course but they need spread groups out more.
nice course, very friendly staff
all good, we had bad lack, some guys in front are very slow and obviously the marshall is without power
Chimera Golf
Chimera is one of the most well manicured golf courses in the country. With its beautiful views of the Las Vegas area and parable holes it gives you one of the best golfing experiences in Las Vegas. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is incredible. For the money I give Chimera a 5star rating!
Not perfect
Read few reviews before going out. There were few people claiming that the course was in 'good' to 'perfect' condition. Well, not so much.
I generally liked the layout. Although I seem to remember starting on now #10, but that didn't bother me. I find some holes interesting but also some just plain. The greens were bumpy, the tee boxes were uneven and spotty and the bunkers were basically mud filled (course description of 'white-sand' must've been few decades ago). The fairway did look pretty good from recent overseeding but still wet and shaggy. The layout made the golf interesting.
Okay, let's talk about the 'proshop' / 'restaurant'. Come on guys, how much longer will you guys be satisfied with your double wide layout? The neighborhood seems decent enough to warrant a decent looking clubhouse where they can visit with some pride. But joining couple of trailers together and giving it a fancy name really does this golf facility an injustice. I'm surprised that the locals haven't complained about the unsightliness of having a trailer in the neighborhood.
Course in great shape. Unbelievable value.
Played here the last weekend of September. Grass was in amazing shape. Greens were awesome. This course is kind of out there but probably the best bang for your buck in town. Plays like a course that’s 2-3 times more expensive. One of my favorites.
Overseeding
Great shape but cart path only meant lots of walking - be in shape if you’re 60 and older
Sand!!!
This course was fantastic! I loved the layout, the greens, and the views. Having said that, their bunkers are awful!!! Get some sand in there, Folks!!
Ranger ruined a great round
Despite there being no sand in the bunkers, I was having a good round with a 40 on the front nine. Our group was consistently pressing the group in front of us and no one was behind us. Then at the turn, the group in front of us quit playing. Then on the 11th hole, the ranger comes along and says we have a gap and need to play faster. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but despite our explanation, this ranger hounded us for the next 4 holes and sat in the middle of the fairway 20 yards behind us as we hit approach shots. This was very inappropriate causing my game to go south... even so, we still didn't lose time according to our GPS nanny. I have really love playing this course, but unfortunately looks like I'll want to find somewhere else to play.
