Course in Wretched Shape
When we arrived at the course, it was in terrible shape. The course looked like it hadn’t been watered in quite some time. My father-in-law was concerned that he may hurt himself playing on hard turf, so we didn’t even tee off. We found a tee time at Las Vegas Golf Club for later in the day; we were pleased with the condition of LVGC. This course should not be promoted on Golf Now; they are providing a disservice to members who trust their suggestions and reviews. We prepaid for this tee time and would like to request a full refund.
Barely Golf
This course has really taken a turn for the worse, it was already pretty bad to begin with, but now it’s borderline unplayable. They haven’t watered the greens all summer, tee boxes and “fairways” are absolute trash. I am a single digit handicapper who hits my irons very high and on a normal course the ball will not be more than 2-3 feet from my divot. These greens don’t even take divots, absolute concrete (especially hole #4 and 9). Putting on them is even worse. Bumps and goose crap all over the place, you’ll never get even close to a true roll. The worst thing above all is the lack of drinking water on the course. If you don’t bring you own water, you’ll SOL. No cart girl, not a single cooler on the entire course. They just leave you out there to have a stroke in the 105 degree sun. If they actually want to make this course playable again, they need to DROWN the greens for about 10-14 days straight and give them a little cushion at least to catch approach shots. Just an utter disgrace.
This course is in garbage shape!!!
I played this course last fall and it was in decent shape. I played it this morning and to say that I’m highly disappointed would be an understatement. The tee boxes, the fairways, were in horrible shape, browned out most areas, and lots of dirt patches throughout. The greens were in horrible shape as if some fungus disease has grown in which caused the grass to grow uneven. The sand bunkers cannot be called sand. They should call them gravel, bunkers, cause there’s barely any sand in them. The pace of play was so bad. I stopped after 14 holes and so did the other two guys they paired me up with. I paid $60 to play this course as a local unfortunately for the two guys that played with me paid $90 because they were from California. To be honest, I wouldn’t pay $30 to play the course in the shape it’s in. I blame the city of Henderson and the management company that they’re using to take care of this course because they’re obviously not. Shame on them because this course is smack in the middle of Henderson and is a nice track. It’s clear to me they are more worried about making money than the enjoyment of the course by the residents and out-of-towners who play it. Avoid this course until they decide they wanna put some money into it and take care of it. There are way better options in the Vegas Valley for a few more bucks. The only positive thing I could say about this course was the staff was friendly.
Dead
If this was a horse you would shoot it to put it out of its misery. Greens are covered in sand. Fairways. What fairways it’s like hitting off mats that are 20 years old. Elite Golf should be ashamed of. Used to be decent. For $45.00 I wouldn’t play it for free
Summer golf
Course is in decent condition considering it’s 100+ degrees out now, staff is always top notch and accommodating as usual, pace of play was great as well. Although it was 107 degrees I had a great day on the course and Woldhourae is always a fun place to play, love this place.
Awesome and great course.
Great golf course, especially the Staff friendliness.
Price Driven
Wildhorse isn’t extraordinary but it’s priced accord and understandably doesn’t exceed expectations. It remains an option with T time availability and affordability.
Worst golf course in all of Vegas!!!!
You guys should be ashamed charging what you charge to play a round here. You might aswell play in the street or go pick your nearest desert and go hit balls out of there for 3hours. They need to shut this place down asap I wouldn’t golf here for free!!!! Even if you paid me I wouldn’t play here. What a waste of a day and round. Good riddance!!!
Worst I’ve ever played
8SOME was right in front of us. Course conditions were worst I’ve ever seen on any course ever and it’s literally just first day of summer in vegas. No cart girl entire round. No water on course either. Terrible. Disgusting sewer water, nothing maintained, everything dead, weeds everywhere including greens, chunks taken out of greens. I could go on and on
Layout wonderful, condition poor
Not sure what is happening with their weed and seed or watering schedules but the fairways are mostly weeds and dirt pits. Greens were okay.
The layout of the course is challenging and tons of fun. The views are great. It feels like playing in an oasis. If I was a better golfer I would’ve been incredibly upset at the state of the fairways.
Poor value
$65 to play on a course that’s barely playable. Very little grass, horrible bunkers and bad greens. I’ve played the course when it was better. Don’t mind paying that much for decent conditions but this is more like a $40 value.
