Desert Pines Golf Club is often referred to as "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas. It offers a Carolina sandhills experience, yet is conveniently located just minutes from downtown or the Strip. This Dye design features thousands of mature pine trees lining the well-groomed fairways where white sand bunkers protect large, undulating, bent grass greens. Because of the large number of pine trees, often times this course is cooler than other courses in the heat of the summer. Although there are no forced carries, water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.

Slow slow slow

Only saving grace for this course was the beverage cart and snack shack. 6 hour round and a Marshall who does nothing. Would it recommend at all.

Nice place---Nice Pace

This is a good golf course and the pace of play was excellent---a little under four hours. That alone makes me want to come back. Thank you Desert Pines.

To expensive for non resident

Bunkers were in unplayable condition. Tee box grass way to long. For the price not Ortho the round of golf for a Non Resident fee.

Afternoon pace of play was SLOW

Came into Vegas for the weekend and wanted to get a round in. Found the afternoon tee time on this course at 2:00pm. Showed up to the course and the Marshall left the first tee around 1:40pm. When we got close to 2pm the group that was teeing off had a 1:40pm tee time. Pace of play was 20 minutes behind by the time we started. we were the last group in the course, which helped with not feeling rush by the people behind. Course conditions were REALLY good, but fairways were fairly narrow compared to the courses I play in CA. Definitely enjoyed my round but wish pace of play was handled a little better. Didn’t get to finish the round

Place needs water

It’s a solid track. People were amazing. Bar is good. ProShop helpful. It just needs a little love and I assume that’s from water issues in the are restricting how the club can be maintained.

Walked

A course promotion to encourage everyone to repair their ball marks on the green plus one or two others may help. Way too many unprepared divots. Greens were shaggy. Good layout.

Good course

Nice staff, good layout. Pace of play was good.. Large chunks off grass cutting were everywhere in the rough and the area around the bunkers was unplayable and usually meant a lost ball.

Post overseeding

Cart path only with most paths on the left didn't help us faders/slicers. THICK rough. Greens were great

Nice course just 2 miles from Fremont Street

The course layout and conditions were great. The staff (in-house, on course marshal and cart girl) were very friendly and went the extra mile to make the experience good. We are used to paying $65.00 max for courses like this in the Nashville area but this was almost double that. I guess you charge what the people will pay and we paid. It was a course I will go back to next year.

Dye design ruined

They over book to the point it takes 5 hours to play an early morning round ( tee time 6:32 AM). The course is in horrendous condition. Grass clippings remain on the greens and fairways alike. Sand traps have little to no sand, but offer a healthy growth of weeds! Had I read the posted reviews prior to making the reservation, I wouldn’t have!
