Amazing day
Great course… amazing value and couldn’t have had a better day out. They do it right!
The Ditch is challenging
Had a great time. Ryan at the front desk was super helpful. “Right is wrong” on this course, and everything plays to the left. Wonderful day and I’d recommend this course for affordability and access.
The Club at Sunrise - super course and great value for money
We had a fabulous round at The Club at Su rise. The course is a challenge with tight fairways on almost every hole as the holes follow both sides of a small river gulley with out of bounds on the other side .. so danger on most holes..!! Greens were in fabulous condition and there is a good range, putting green and chipping area to warm up. Would also like to commend the staff who were so friendly and welcoming .. we even got 45% reduction on items in the club shop with a roll of a dice..!! Only criticism was many bunkers didn’t have rakes so were full of footprints etc.. but nevertheless highly recommend a short trip from the strip to play this little gem.
Problems we had....
The course is in excellent condition, the fairways, the greens in great shape.
We are old, 83 +79... we like to play different courses in Las Vegas. we have a 15 and 18 handicap.
The carts were limited to some fairways and never to the ravine/canal with water flowing.
this course is for younger ones as there is just too much walking across the fairways and going down and up the cement river flowing... This course is for players with draws... both of us draw the ball. Yet, most of the fairways flow the ball towards the river. ... both of us were next to the bridge
Since we were new,,,,, we had no idea where to go on some greens. One green was across the river? we had no idea + we could not see ta green on the same side because of traps and lip of the trap was high for us not to see it...
No water on the course, No service on the course for water or drinks.... Terrible + we cannot brink our own water...!!!!
You need signs with arrows + one water tank in front and one in the back 9. OR... other courses give out 2 water bottles in the ice chest of the cart;.
Thank you for your time.....
Has Potential
Overall Enjoyed my round. Excellent practice area, especially the short game. One challenge of how the course is designed, is only half of the fairway is playable. The other half, usually on the right side, pitches towards the channel...you may or may not find your ball if you hit it on the right side of fairway. So grip it and rip it at your own risk. The premium is on an accurate drive favoring the safe side of the fairway. The fairways were a bit dry with numerous bald spots. Green were green, but had apparently been aerated recently. The pegboard is still visible and sand affected roll. The greens were painfully slow, requiring a full shoulder turn to get it close on long putts. On some holes, water and /or slope leading to the water comes blindly into play on a few holes leaving first time players with an unpleasant surprise on an otherwise good shot. Bunkers played fair. Overall, a fun enjoyable round...but you will need to think and weigh your options on almost every shot, especially if the wind is howling. Pace of play was fine until we ran into a group of 4 hackers who, if the best of them had a handicap, t would have been 36. Hopefully next time I play here it will be when the wind is not gusting to 30+ mph.
Outstanding staff
I arrived carrying my golf bag and pushing my brother in his wheelchair. I was managing but it was tough as I am 71 years old. A staff member stepped up, took my bag and pushed my brother to the driving range for me then refused to accept a tip even though I insisted. A short time later the starter approached me on the driving range to check on us and told me that if we needed anything just ask. I want to say thank you to both staff members for all their help and kindness. Now about the course! Great shape! New grass range!!
Great Value, Great Condition
Wow. Some of the best greens in Vegas. Plenty of grass. Good bunkers. Pretty straight forward but challenging. Great staff and nice clubhouse.
Looking rough
It wasn’t to bad until recently but it’s not worth playing now. Very little grass. Bunkers are horrible. Greens are ok. The price is to much for these conditions. This is about a $40 value.
Bang for your buck
Best greens for under 200$ in town, they’re grounds keepers are amazing, just don’t miss right and you’ll have a great time
Review
Front nine pace of play was brutal … 1 group of 4 slowed everyone behind them and never offered to let anyone play through … we passed them at the turn and never looked back and the pace of play was fine afterwards … all told 4 1/2 hours for the round of 18 wasn’t to bad
Father - Daughter Outing
The course is ok not something i will look forward playing again. Playing first time is not easy given the big wash in the middle that separates the fairways.
Poor course for the money
The greens were airated which was never disclosed on line. This Course was worth about $40 nit #100. They rip the tourist off on a higher price and give the RESIDENTS a reduced rate if u LIVE in Vegas. NOT RIGHT!!!!!!
Horrible Experience
Front nine was closed. Driving range was closed. They had course maintenance equipment PARKED in 2 of the fairways. On course restroom was nasty dirty. Pace of play was beyond slow. A course worker picked up one of our errant drives and put it in his pocket. Worst golf experience we have ever had in Las Vegas. To Golf Now's credit, they did refund a portion of our greenfees.
