Las Vegas National Golf Course
About
A traditional golf course in the land of faux waterfalls, shooting fountains and mountains, Las Vegas National Golf Club is actually part site of Tiger Woods' first win on the PGA Tour.
Las Vegas National was part of the rotation of the Las Vegas Invitational when Woods broke onto the Tour in 1996. Tiger actually won the Las Vegas Invitational (then a 90-hole, multi-course event) with a final round 64 on the private TPC at Summerlin track, erasing David Love III's four-stroke lead.
Average hackers will find a course with plenty of trees in the desert and five inventive par 3s that give National much of its character. This isn't desert golf. It's old school golf with palm trees and sand.
It is also very close to the Strip, just a few turns and about a 10-minute drive away. The area's built up around it with fast-food shops, but the Rat Pack era style remains alive within Las Vegas National's grounds.
"As you pull into the lot at Las Vegas National, the sense of the sixties is evident in the rectangular pastel colored stucco clubhouse that might have seemed modernistic back then, but now is a charming reminder of an architecturally dated style," TravelGolf.com writer Doug Saunders said.

Course conditions and pace of play.
At four stars this course is extremely overrated. For the most part, there was very little grass in the fairways and no sand in the sand traps. The greens were chewed up and the cups were starting to grow over. The pace of play was ridiculously slow. This is, at best, a $50 course. We paid $139. Not satisfied at all.
Nice course.
Fast pace of play. Nice course.
Super fun and kudos to their HOA
On a good day, I’m a boogie golfer. This course was friendly to me and my skills. The weather was hot, but the course was well maintained. Staff from the period driving range was included with the cart fee and round fee. The most interesting thing of all is the HOA has organized that at each Hole neighbors give out free food and drink, including adult beverages. This was super surprising and super fun. One very lovely neighbor invited us to their home for the after party. I highly recommend this course. Will certainly be back. It’s only 3 1/2 miles from the trip which allows for nice views and Las Vegas golf had a rate that’s much more user-friendly than perhaps at the casinos. Will certainly be back and we appreciated the feminist of the neighbors and the staff and everyone encountered at Las Vegas national golf club.
Great value for money
Played this course and really liked it, the greens were in good condition, the staff especially at the Pro Shop was incredibly helpful and kind.
It was an improvised round for me, rented clubs which were in good condition and staff was very friendly.
Great track!
Love Las Vegas National. Close to strip. Good value. Love the layout.
Great golf
Really enjoyable even though a little hot.
A lot of sand makes it a challenge
Beautiful Traditional Golf Course
Beautifully maintained golf course with lots of shade trees. Friendly staff. Range balls, and bottled water included in price.
Proud of it
Nice track, looks like a trailer park in spots. They are proud of it for the price. Can't even get a local price on this site.
Poor golf course
I am from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 and poorest golf course for $170.00 US and I appreciate a full refund
Love the course design
Clear some of these ratty old houses off this great course and bring it back to glory what an awesome track! Rewarding for all levels of skill with generous forward tees.
Great for beginners
It’s a wide open course, allowing shanked balls to be found. Only one hole with water. It’s a great course for new players
Good course but got double charged
I prepaid for my round with you and then they charged me again when I got there so double paid. I’d there anything you can do?
Early Tee Off
Thank you
My son and I had been looking forward to playing the course, we were not disappointed
I was a little concerned with the heat that Vegas has been experiencing. There was no need to worry, the course was in good condition and grounds people should be congratulated . My check in was great, the guys getting carts and clubs were excellent.. Speed of play was generally pretty good and nice to see a course Marshall out on course.
1 thing I would ask for is to have rakes in each bunkers, wasting time to go to another bunker for a rake slows play…. But it’s small request and by no means lessened my experience
I hope to be back, next time I’m here visiting from Australia
Thank you
Brendan
Drenched in history
Starting with staff friendliness, these guys are at the top of their game. Everyone greeted with us with a very warm welcome. Felt like I belonged.
The proshop and dining area is worth coming early for. This course is drenched in history. Spend 15 - 30 min and read some of the history. Great history on Vegas golf.
The course layout is interesting and will keep everyone on their toes. Not extremely well manicured and the greens were a bit slow and furry. Mild elevation change and green undulation was moderate. We did face some tough pin locations tucked behind bunkers. The fairways were green with some wet spots (at 7AM).
We were a two some playing behind a foursome so I had some time to read the local historical landmarks. Very interesting and fascinating. I wish I had more time. Oh, the houses are nothing to brag about as they're all over 50 - 70 years old. Must've been a glorious place back the day.
Off the strip
Fantastic option as a alternative to Bali Hai or Wynn but a different experience as it is a true Municipal course with a parkland style. For the price, it’s a great play and the course has some challenge but very fair and fun.
