Desert Pines Golf Club is often referred to as "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas. It offers a Carolina sandhills experience, yet is conveniently located just minutes from downtown or the Strip. This Dye design features thousands of mature pine trees lining the well-groomed fairways where white sand bunkers protect large, undulating, bent grass greens. Because of the large number of pine trees, often times this course is cooler than other courses in the heat of the summer. Although there are no forced carries, water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.

Best Value Golf Course in America

For the low price at Desert Pines compared to other Vegas courses, this is the best value for your money. The course is short and narrow but the greens are always well kept and provide a unique challenge as they were built based on Augusta National greens. The Pete Dye design is excellent and you will be challenged to use every club in your bag. I recommend playing this course if you have not yet.

Love this course! Did reservation on-line. When I arrived they had a cart ready with my name on it, two bottles of water on ice.

The course was in excellent condition and I shot my best score ever. (86) for 18 holes.

Save your time and money. This is not the place to play!!!

I have play this course twice in the past. It was in much better shape than now. The greens are great shape but the traps have little no sand and the fairways are dry and need watering. It appears to be poorly maintained and managed. Trash was blowing throughout the course. I quit the round after two holes and drove around the course to inspect the remaining holes. The staff and golf pro was rude when I discussed the situation and asked for my money back.. The driving range was also closed. The so call pro indicated that the course is a 3.5 on a 5 scale. He must not ever hit the sand since the traps had no sand, just sandy dirt harden by the sun. He does not know his xxx from his horse ... and other things.

I did pay for the Wynn course, but I did expect better.

As a 30+ year hacker, find a better place to play, not this dump.

Awesome layout

I've played most of the public courses in vegas and this is absolutely my favorite layout. I understand if you're from out of town and paid 150 and expect perfect greens with no pitch marks or and meticulously maintained bunkers, you're not going to find this here, but what you will find 18 unique and interesting holes. Short course that is possible to bully but you do need to be accurate otherwise you can get canton quite a bit of trouble. Almost ever hole is risk/reward. Every time I visit Vegas this will be a the top of my list.

The course has looked better in the past and now it is overgrown with weeds. The pace was extremely slow for a Friday. There were people giving lessons to kids on the course and kids with no clubs with sometimes five to six on the putting greens. Called clubhouse 2x to inform what was going on and no one came out.
