About
One of the pioneers in Las Vegas golf, Painted Desert Golf Course is a 1987 Jay Morrish design has golfers shooting at targets in the desert.
Painted Desert has maintained its place in the Sin City golf community through all its changes by putting on an emphasis on course conditioning. Just because your greens are almost two decades old does not mean they cannot be in better shape than many of the new kids on the block.
The desert is the focus here, but Morrish also works in a few lakes as obstacles.
"This golf course is a very friendly layout and you can score here without having a feeling of imminent doom on every hole," John Scappatura said. "We are a bit off of the beaten path, which means that we almost always have availability for tee times. Everyone who does make the trip out here though appreciates our conditioning, the price, and the friendly atmosphere."

Starter is a clown! Pace of play is ridiculous
Unlike previous reviews, the starter was present but was clearly not present in mind, a hacking twosome was squeezed in between tee times and ruined the day. The starter clearly cares more about hooking up buddies and not respecting the pace of play. 4 groups backed up from tee box 1 to 18. Waste of a day and never again

Just OK
Fairly bland layout. Greens and fairways were nice, but tee boxes and cart paths need a lot of work. Range balls are in dire need of an upgrade. 3* course at best.

Horrible pace of play
They need a starter that has a clue what he is doing.

Slow
Only got through 13 holes with an 11:50 tee time. The course said they will refund my green fee but need to contact Golfnow so they can reach it to the course. We'll see how that goes.

It took 5 and 10 min to complete 18 holes on Monday.
We had to wait every holes.

Pace of Play
Something needs to be done with this course. The Ranger did nothing. They need to figure out how to keep everyone moving. We had to quit after 13 holes to get to our dinner reservation. HORRIBLE.

Decent Course--Slow Play
This is a good course. However, slow play appears to be the norm when playing Vegas golf. They try to cram way too many people on the course which ruins the entire experience. You wait on every shot and sometimes the tee boxes have three groups backed up on them. If this is how you run your golf course...not coming back.
