Las Vegas National Golf Course
About
A traditional golf course in the land of faux waterfalls, shooting fountains and mountains, Las Vegas National Golf Club is actually part site of Tiger Woods' first win on the PGA Tour.
Las Vegas National was part of the rotation of the Las Vegas Invitational when Woods broke onto the Tour in 1996. Tiger actually won the Las Vegas Invitational (then a 90-hole, multi-course event) with a final round 64 on the private TPC at Summerlin track, erasing David Love III's four-stroke lead.
Average hackers will find a course with plenty of trees in the desert and five inventive par 3s that give National much of its character. This isn't desert golf. It's old school golf with palm trees and sand.
It is also very close to the Strip, just a few turns and about a 10-minute drive away. The area's built up around it with fast-food shops, but the Rat Pack era style remains alive within Las Vegas National's grounds.
"As you pull into the lot at Las Vegas National, the sense of the sixties is evident in the rectangular pastel colored stucco clubhouse that might have seemed modernistic back then, but now is a charming reminder of an architecturally dated style," TravelGolf.com writer Doug Saunders said.

Nice Course
We played there and the course was very. nice. It was a fairly hot day, but luckily the pace of play was quick. We unfortunately were there on the last day of cart path only so we had to walk out to our ball on a very hot day.
The course is very well taken care of and it was awesome reading about the history of the course every hole..This place is definitely a land mark. Go play it, you won't regret it. Keep in mind its a very long course.
Golf alone
Course was in magnificent condition the greens were a little slow probably could of been cut slightly lower but the nostalgia of this course is great ..former homes of celebs was good to take time and read the signs BEST of all I golfed alone no one around in front or behind and the view of Vegas strip is always good to look at especially sunset..I’ll be back!!!!
Course under maintenance
It turned out that the course had just seeded. This lead to cart path only golf on a very sunny day to maintain the grass which added a bit to the playing time. Also it seemed that the mowing of the course was postponed possibly to let the new seeding grow, the greens were thicker than I have ever seen a golf course have in 35 years of golf. It was putting on a rug.
Great course for the price
Played here the first time today . Course was a great price at $35 . Played by myself from the very back markets and have to say the course was in great shape after reseeding . Only thing was the greens were very slow . Really enjoyed the layout and some great par fives and par threes . Will definitely be going back in a couple of weeks for another round
Overseed nightmare
My wife and I paid 45.00 to play an 8:30 am round, not bad. However, the course was extremely wet with grass clippings everywhere and the greens were extremely long also. Save your money and wait until after they start mowing again. I usually like the course conditions, but not right now.
Nice Course
It's been 22 years since I've played Las Vegas National. Some of the fairways were a little dried out. The group in front of us was playing very slowly so that slowed us up a bit. I like all of the historical information signs on the course; it reminds me of how Vegas used to be. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
Love it!
Really enjoy playing this course... It’s well kept and the staff is pretty friendly.... The bunkers are the only thing eye have an issue with... They need more sand imo but other than that it’s a great course...
Fairways and greens!
Nice gem
Great course , great shape. Only thing..clean the rivers on course, should not have trash in them. Too much.
MUST PLAY!
This is old school, classic parkland golf! It's a must play because it's fun, challenging, and also cool to play where Tiger won his first tournament. On every hole, there are historical signs - READ them. And then, prepare yourself...for a battle.
This course is NOT easy. The rough is thick and the fairways are small. My ONLY knock on this course is the greens - way too slow!
like a municipal golf course
Very nice staff. Played for $35 which is cheap for Vegas. Nothing special about course. Decent shape. Best part is done in 2:45 which in 115* weather is good.
Amazing Course
I love this course. Former PGA host and I believe.. but everything is great. I would highly recommend to come real early to eat here. They have the best omelets here.. thank you LVNGC
Gem
Great course!! The bonus of a hot dog and drink for free and a cooler with ice and water was a great unexpected gift..
Maskless
Staff in pro shop not wearing masks even tho they require customer to wear one .Acting as if the pandemic is over by returning rakes to bunkers, sand to carts, coolers to carts and pencils/scorecards to carts.
