Desert Pines Golf Club

About
Desert Pines Golf Club is often referred to as "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas. It offers a Carolina sandhills experience, yet is conveniently located just minutes from downtown or the Strip. This Dye design features thousands of mature pine trees lining the well-groomed fairways where white sand bunkers protect large, undulating, bent grass greens. Because of the large number of pine trees, often times this course is cooler than other courses in the heat of the summer. Although there are no forced carries, water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.

A Gem
A great course layout. Always have a good time there. A prefect place if your looking for a quick round. Not usually busy and the layout allows for fast play.
A Little Gem
What a pleasant surprise to find such a cool course in the middle of Vegas. I'd call this course a little gem. It's TOUGH. It's narrow. But, it's a lot of fun.
good except green surface
pretty good condition and layout except green surface.
Green surface was a little bit rough and inconsistent.
But others are so nice.
Greens are in rough shape. Staff is great!
Greens are in rough shape. A lot of trash in the lakes. Watering with reclaimed water during play is not good. Spray from water in a breeze is unpleasant.
A lot of goose dung all over the course.
Staff is friendly and trying to make it a good experience for guests.
Local Player
Other than the greens being a little chewed up, I’d go back again in a heartbeat. Narrow fairways, but a lot of it feeds back in. For the value, one of my favorite places to play & eat!
Great Course
Course is tough and in great condition. Love playing here. Only complaint is price can be too high at times.
Great layout/ Poor conditions
One of the finest layouts in Vegas. But the greens may have been the worst I have ever played. The bunkers need sand. Do something about the goose crap. Everybody else does. I understand it’s January, but get someone working there besides just in the clubhouse.
Don't waste your money
I've never seen a golf course that has as much goose and duck poop as this one. It is virtually all over the entire course and there appeared to be no effort to clean it up. In addition, I don't know how long it had been since the greens had been mowed. They were shaggy, bumpy, inconsistent and covered in bird excrement. My advice--play somewhere else.
Super fun
Tight and narrow fairways good challenge shoot 79 lots of fun
