Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2024.

Primm Valley Golf Club boasts two championship courses designed by Tom Fazio. On the Desert Course, Fazio fully utilized the rugged landscape and scenic views offered by the mountains in the distance. Like many of his designs, the Desert Course blends seamlessly into the beautiful surroundings. It is a straightforward layout with no hidden tricks but there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking beside the undulating greens to provide some challenges. The golf course also requires a few tricky forced carries. The fairways are generous and offer some room for error, making the course more appealing to beginners. In addition to the two golf courses, Primm Valley also offers extensive practice facilities that include a double-ended driving range, target greens, practice putting greens, and chipping and pitching greens with sand bunkers.

This course is well designed. Staff was friendly. The only draw back were the bumpy greens.

This course is very playable but the greens were a bit slow and bumpy. Staff were friendly.

Great Hidden Course

Less than an hour from Las Vegas it is a true gem, especially considering the price. It is one of the best values for golf in Vegas. The course was in good condition. The fairways were great. The greens were a little rough, it seems to have been recently aerated and dry. I played the desert course. They layout was fun and not extremely difficult. The issues I have with the course is the pace of play. As you know it is a real epidemic here in America. The place wasn't very busy. But we got really backed up on the back 9. Had to wait behind 4 groups. No marshall. The staff was so nice and friendly, I just wish they would add a marshal to control the pace of play. I recommend bringing a "rock club." You can stop by a pawn shop and pick up a cheap iron. If you miss the fairway and rough you are in a rocky area that will damage your clubs. Having a cheap club to knock it out would be my suggestion. Overall a great experience. I just wish they could manage the speed of play

Beautiful day on a beautiful course

We purchased our golfnow tee time for $29 a person for 11am on a perfect March day. I was a bit concerned from other reviews about the pace of play being a problem, but we had no problems at all! The greens were in good condition, the views from the course were great, and there was nothing I could really complain about. Well, I guess I wish the bar had PBR, but my old punk rock ways die hard! I imagine this place will be miserable once it gets hot, but for now I'd say get out there and go!

Great time

Played the lakes course and really enjoyed it. Course is a 1/2 hour from down town Las Vegas, and a fun track. Course is well maintained and greens are tricky. Course demands about every shot you can imagine, especially when the wind picks up in the afternoons. Great value.

For the price was able to book thru GolfNow, thought course good value.

Booked the Desert Course, but college tourney was running late on Desert and staff offered the Lakes Course at an earlier time. This was fortunate as our round was relatively quick and in time to avoid dusk. Staff very friendly. Played with two good fellows, one from Henderson and the other from Vegas. Condition of course was good, but not pristine - some ragged edges along the fairways and rough spots on the tee boxes and greens. Layout and hole design was good. Enjoyed the contouring, and changes in elevation. Greens difficult to read, and very hard and very fast - probably due to be punched. Not that it mattered, but didn't see a Marshall or a beverage cart. Quite a trek from Vegas and lots of good competition closer to the hotel, but worth playing.

A lot of variety. No two holes feel the same.

Great course. Allows you to hit most clubs in the bag. Greens roll well. Manage distance on approach shots. You don't want a long putt. I really enjoyed the variety of holes the most.

Thoroughly enjoyed the round!

We played the Thursday before the University tournament. The Desert course was in great shape. From the moment we arrived to the end of the round, the staff were attentive, friendly and courteous. We will definitely play at Primm again and we'll check out the Par 4 courses also. Even with the course being full we managed to play under 41/2 hours. The discount through GolfNow made it a great value.

Horrendous Pace of Play

Round took 5 hours. Didnt see one marshall. At the end when getting our clubs cleaned we asked about the marshalls and were told they do it via GPS in the golf shop. How can that possibly work? Absolute lazy way of managing course which obviously doesnt work. I would not recommend this course due to this alone.

Open, forgiving....but very fun!

Primm was a great golfing experience. The course was very forgiving, but challenging. Ended with the same ball I started with. Greens, fairways, and tees were in excellent condition. Compared to three other courses played in Vegas, Primm was the very best.

Very nice course with excellent service

All personnel were very friendly & helpful. Course was in great condition! Course is challenging, especially when the winds kick in. Greens have a lot of character to them. You do not want to be above the pins on these greens. Would definately return.

Great Layout!

These Fazio courses are fantastic - this is not a pull out your driver and tee off setup - you have to manage this course. Greens were recently punched so I cannot vouch for normal conditions - but a definite "go play"!

Tricky green

I recommend playing white tee unless low handicapper.
The course is very challenging and the green are very tricky.
You will have a chance at a reasonable score and enjoy you experience.
They do need course marshals, as group ahead decided to play as a six-some from 16 in, I told staff but it was ignored. Pr was nice to buy us , a jug of beer.

It was fine

Fine, not awesome. Staff was super friendly. Greens were nice but not pristine. If you're looking for outstanding this isn't it. Play was super slow > 5 hours. No Marshall to keep it going. We enjoyed our day but wish we'd played Paiute as well to compare.
