The Brigantine/Clipper Course at Shipyard Golf Club combines two of the three nine-hole golf courses on the property for one of the more challenging tests on Hilton Head. Brigantine/Clipper has a rating of 73.5, with a slope of 135 from the championship tees.
Designed by Willard Byrd and built in 1982, alligators sun themselves along the scenic, water hazard-filled Brigantine nine holes. With slight doglegs and well-placed bunkers, this golf course requires shot making and a good short game.
With plenty of sand and water hazards, Clipper may be the most difficult of the nines. This George Cobb design requires a good long game and a soft touch around the greens.

Very nice course
Enjoyed our round on Galleon & Clipper. The course is fair with some challenges requiring a well thought out and accurate shot. Conditions were quite good. Greens medium paced and pin placements could be tricky.

Shipyard 10/2023
Shipyard was in excellent condition for October; the staff was very friendly and helpful; pace of play was exceptional on Galleon but got a bit slow for the last 4 holes on the Clipper.
We had a very enjoyable visit to Shipyard and look forward to returning.
