Brigantine/Clipper at Shipyard Golf Club

Played with my daughter from Minnesota and with a nice couple from Pennsylvania. The course was in great winter condition. Greens were fairly quick and rolled true. Very enjoyable.

Excellent course with friendly staff. Starter is somewhat less than pleasant (acts as if he is doing you a big favor), otherwise a great round.

Loved it! Staff super friendly-especially for a first timer.

The fairways and greens were in great condition for February. I had a foursome on the front nine and was a single on the back. Play was slow but I still enjoyed it.

Rainy afternoon and had the course to myself. Enjoyed!!!!!

This is exactly what a golf experience is intended to be.

From the online booking experience (last minute), to the arrival (where they whisked my golf bag away and loaded it onto a cart), to a professional and friendly greeting inside the Clubhouse...Shipyard Golf receives my highest rating.

On Hilton Head Island many of the courses are beautiful - what can really separate the experience is the staff...and at Shipyard they made the experience fantastic. Every employee I encountered made me feel as though I was a pro golfer - thank goodness the first tee box was a considerable distance from the Clubhouse (laughing).

For the record - I played the Brigantine course, which happened to wind its way past the condo where my family was staying for the week. The course wasn't crowded that day, so I was able to stop and visit for a few moments - another great advantage.

I'll visit again, for sure - classy experience all-around.

Considering it is still classed as winter (February) in South Carolina, the course was in excellent condition. The fairways were very good and the greens were excellent, as were the bunkers. With the Golf Now Hot Deal the price was also very good. A rainy afternoon and I had the course to myself.
