Tournament course
Course was in great shape and very enjoyable to play. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the carts or the service we received from the staff. Both carts in our foursome ran out of battery power before the end of 18 holes. The first started running slowly around the 7th hole. We used the computer on the cart to call for help, and then phoned the ProShop when no help arrived. Still no help, and fortunately we were able to make it back to the club house for a replacement after the 9th hole. The second cart stared running slow at the 15th hole, and once again we could not get any help from the staff so ended up pushing it back to the clubhouse. Kind of spoils the enjoyment of the game!
BEWARE
Hit with ball @ 300yds...knocked down...perp refused to give contact info...staff unresponsive in helping adjudicate, "it's between you guys"...no return call from GM Fish. Should similar occur, advise calling police for help. Would NEVER return to this facility.
Great course to play
This course is a Nicklaus designed course that I feel very fortunate to be located within 45 minutes from my location. I have played it several times since it opened and every time I have played it has been a very enjoyable round. The course was groomed to almost pro tournament condition. It certainly spoils me and I wish I could play it everyday.
Communication
Something needs to change with the way courses communicate with golf now and us on the punching of greens, boxes and fairways. I paid $50 for a course I wouldn't have paid $20 to golf it, 90% of the greens were unputtable.
Course in great shape, but right next to 101
I enjoyed the Tournament course and got a really great deal. For the value, it can't be beat. The course was in very nice shape, played honestly, greens were a pretty decent speed, bunkers were well managed. I like that there weren't many blind shots. Some of the holes were pretty memorable. 17 and 18 are fun when water comes into play.
My drawbacks- because it's right off the highway there's power lines in sight on every shot. It's hard to take a nice picture of the course without the power lines in it. There was no ranger on the course at all - pace the first 10 holes was great, then things backed up quite a bit.
Will return on another special rate.
Grumpy staff, aerated greens, average layout
I booked on Golfnow never having been to this course. When I arrived there was a sign on the door that the greens had been aerated. The guy in the pro shop was kind of indifferent and grumpy. The starter was a nice fellow and got me out early. The tract was just average with many non-description holes. I may be a little negative due to the fact that I did not know about the aeration. Shame on you, Golfnow!
Great and challenging course
Played for the first time at this course after the upgrade and a great deal form Golfnow. Thoroughly enjoyed it.The new carts with the hole layout GPS are a great help.
Ticks
Got ticks on me had to go to doctor
Good time.
Weather was perfect and the course was in great shape. Had fun.
one of the best course in the bay area
everything including the weather was perfect.
tournament coyote
greens were fast and smooth course was in good shape rough was thick and hard to get out of made for a good challenge
Beautiful layout
Requires strategy and accuracy. Pristine conditions, greens roll true, in part because the Tournament course is not played much by the public. 3-club wind added to difficulty - enough to curve putts. The "cart lady" never came around - supposedly got heat stroke.
Mac W.
I would recommend it to anybody if they will do something with pace. We dropped the game at 16th hole because of 15 minute wait. It was okay till 9th but back nine was horrible slow. You can play good golf if you have to warm up on each hole.
Too slow play on course
Course was 3 hours for the front 9. I ended leaving after 9 since they had a backup on 10. Would not play again on weekend. Course was in good shape but saw no marshalls and poor management of putting players on course. Had singles out in the middle of 4-somes.
Great Course....if you like to play in the wind
The greens are perfect, the layout is challenging and the wind, which I am told is always a factor, makes some holes impossible. If you like playing in extreme wind conditions, this course is for you.
Fun, but tough, course
Beautiful course to look at, but really makes you think your way round. Most holes have some kind of forced carry with ditches and streams, plus the feature lake for the last two holes. The rough was very thick, which increased the importance of finding the fairway.
Played from the white tees which, with the wind, meant a number of longer irons or woods into the greens, making the course even harder. Greens were in great condition and pretty quick. Not great for a high handicapper, though.
Nice Facility, Great Value
This particular outing met the usual high standard except for the back 9 pace of play--the front 9 was under 2 hrs. There was no marshall to facilitate improving it. Additionally, a course marshall would have witnessed the inappropriate etiquette of the players who impacted the pace.
My new favorite course
This is the second time I have played the tournament course. I improved 8 strokes over the first time. The layout is challenging, especially holes 2-8. The greens are in perfect shape, roll true and smooth. I can't wait to get back there again!
Tournament course
The course is in great shape ! No cart path only yeah .The greens are fast and well maintained with blinding yet finely ground sand in the bunkers. The gps on the cart is a great help for first timers with all the fairway hazards you need to lay up on . I will definetly come with my buddies.
Little soggy
Due to all the rain, cart paths only. This made for a lot of walking. Course was wet but greens were in very good condition for January.
