A challenge , but fun

Course was in great shape. Afternoon winds added additional challenges to an already difficult track. Playing at Coyote was extremely fun.

Excellent course but no marshals, count on 5 hrs

This is an excellent facility, both 18's are nice rolling hills with well maintained greens and tees. Also a grass driving range with practice putting, chipping, and pitching greens. Very spacious for this part of California, most of the courses around here are being squeezed by real estate ventures. Clubhouse with nice new restaurant and banquet activity going on all the time. The big "gotcha" is no on-course marshalling, I guess whoever manages the course just gave up on the general concept of marshalling. The problem in these parts are people from all around the world who don't know general golf protocol, things like hitting up and proceeding on greens in a timely manner. Good marshalls will poke people in these situations, none of that here. Count on a 5 hour round.

Course in very good shape

Greens and fairways in excellent condition, only minor negative is too much watering in the bunkers causing muddy conditions in a few.

Wind always a factor.

Nice layout and well maintained. A little wind and you have a challenge. A little more and your round will be a struggle. What feels like a one club wind on the tee is often a 3 club wind in the air. Use the GPS on the cart, not as for tee to green, but for waste hazard location and distance. Local knowledge and/or accurate info is huge

Challenging but fair

Greens are always in great shape and roll true.
The wind was mild and the fairways were dry which shortened the course. The ~6600 yards played more like 6400. Par threes are always strong with little forgiveness.

We played as a twosome in October. Nice day and a nice course too.

We played in October. A beautiful day for sure. You can expect to experience afternoon winds at this course, which increases the challenge of the course.

Overall it is always in good shape. Even though there was evidence of punching the greens they rolled true.

I'll need to play it again as it usually beats me....

Great Course if You Can Play the Wind

I have always loved this course. It's in great shape but you have to be able to play in the wind to enjoy the course.

OK course. Muddy bunkers

The tournament course is a good course. The greens were a bit slow, but in general the course is in good condition, except for the bunkers. Most of the bunkers are muddy and wet. The freeway running through the course makes it a loud experience. If played at a discount rate then it is decent value for money. At full price I would not play or recommend it.

Can be very challenging, but very playable if you manage the course.

Great course that will challenge all aspects of your game. It makes you think about the next shot, rewards you with good shots and penalizes you with wayward ones.

Last round, I believe I used almost every club in my bag. Fast greens too. A little pricey but worth the money and really good deal if you can find a discount.

I would recommend this course if you want to work on your game and course management.

Brutal in the Wind

We played on a windy day (20+ mph) and by the back nine it was getting old. Most of the holes are either down-wind or into the wind and shots often required 3 clubs difference.

The course has some great holes.

The afternoon conditions are very windy and creates bigger challenge. Hole 16, 17 and 18 gets backed-up. It is hard to see the ball flight in the late afternoon due to sun direction.

Great price for the quality and services

Loved this course, played the Tournament course and it was very challenging and beautiful too. Conditions were amazing, fairways were plush and greens were manicured and fast. Love the GPS system on the carts, really helped manage the course, especially since it was my first time and alone. A must play.

Nice course wrong pkave

The course ( tournament ) is a nice layout.
A bit confusing going from one side of the freeway to the other .
Very windy . Usually is ....

If this course was in a different location
Away from the wind tunnel and freeway it would be a much more
Usable course .

They said it was 65.00 per player.

So I booked the golf now in the clubhouse for 55.00.
The guy was a little mad . Then another person walked up
And said , your aware of our dress code ?

I said yes ... I usually change into a collar and was already wearing pants .

Kind of funny because as we came up on 18
A player was wearing a t shirt that looked like it was 30 years old.

Lol !!!

Quirky course, no go zones on six holes on front.

Uses the creek {dry} as hazard a lot, either in front of the tees or in front of the greens. Protected plant and frog species means that you hit past the stakes you lose your ball. Played in a two club wind, the wind must take the sand out of the bunkers, cause there is little or no sand in many of the bunkers. Still, played in 4 hrs.

Nice course, lots of road noise and wind

Played the Tournament course in the afternoon. It was in good shape, greens well maintained. But there is a lot of road noise from the 101 -- definitely not a peaceful gold experience. The wind was howling too -- 2 - 3 clubs of wind in the afternoon. The par 5 17th was especially challenging into the wind...
