Oak Creek Golf Club

About
Oak Creek Golf Course in Irvine boasts a course designed by Tom Fazio, who has been hailed as the best modern-day course architect. The layout features tapered fairways and multi-tiered greens that roll perfectly. Several sparkling lakes dot the lush greens landscape as well as a few mature eucalyptus trees, though the course is mostly open. The bulk of the challenges of this golf course are comprised of the bull-nosed carved bunkers that are strategically placed throughout. Vivid vegetation accentuates the course and the city gets more than 300 days of sunshine a year, providing the perfect setting for a round. Oak Creek Golf Course is also popular for its practice facility, which includes 65 natural turf tees, a nine-acre all-terrain landing area, two putting greens, and a large practice bunker. It is one of the most popular practice facilities in southern California.

Very nice course
Really nice course, extremely friendly staff. Pace of play of the groups in front wasn’t very good, Realize it was a tournament but even then it shouldn’t take 2 hrs 30 min for the first nine holes.
Great people
The course was in great shape, the fairways are fast and the greens were so smooth., the putts just rolled with no bouncing. The staff treated me like I owned the place and I will certainly play there again.
Oak Creek
Great course conditions and practice facility. Always a bit pricey but overall great staff and course.
Good with a discount
Played on New Year's day because the rate was only $65.00 and I was curious to play it. I was not about to pay $135. The range balls are expensive $18.00 for a large and a lot of the balls are old and faded. Come on get some new balls for that. The "grass" is dirt and mowed to the bone.
The course is wide, and relatively flat. The trouble is on the greens. They are fairly fast and you should know how to read greens. There are a lot of breaks. Fairways are tight but, burned out a little. The area around the green needs some attention. I would give this a B- if you get a deal like I did. If you pay $135.00 it's a C-. Put the money you collect into the course.

Slow pace of play. The greens are in above average shape. But the fairways were soggy due to recent rain
The greens were good. The fairways were soggy. But overall it was a pleasure
Great Christmas day family golf outing
Friendly staff, quick in and out. Great course condition even after raining for several days the fairway is not muddy at all, the green is smooth and speed is consistent. Overall a great course to play on Christmas day.
Nothing special
Based on other reviews I read, I was expecting more of a picturesque course. Nothing special though.
Driving range off mats and very busy! Most people there not actually playing the course.
Round very slow. Waited on every shot. Greens inconsistent.
Rewarding good shots
I really enjoyed playing this course, although my first time because of the typical green fees approach $200, I jumped on because I found a rare $99 deal on GolfNow. What I really like is the layout and playability of the course, it doesn’t punish/penalize you for good shots like some of the area’s canyon courses.
Amenities were great, but drinks at the bar were pricey. Enjoyed the range size and access. Love to play here more often but need the green fees to come down to other comparable course in the area, about $50 too much.
Always Amazing & Fun
I simply love this course. Great layou,t fantastic pace of play, and challenging especially from the tips. Highly recommend!
Top 5 public courses in OC
Found a great deal online for $70 and had to take Monday off work to play. Course is well worth the price. Challenging, open fairways but difficult shots into elevated and uniquely shaped greens. Course plays very fair if you hit the fairway. Some beautiful holes and easy scoring ones. Had one of my best rounds in 3 hours and 30 minutes. 70 from the tips. Highly recommend to anyone looking to avoid crappy muni’s!
