About
Opened in 1897, Del Monte™ Golf Course is the oldest course in continuous operation west of the Mississippi. Designed by golf and polo enthusiast Charles Maud, this inland course boasts a meandering, hilly layout that has challenged golfers for more than a century.
It was the original host of the California State Amateur-still played on Del Monte's narrow, tree-lined fairways and small,well-protected greens-and continues to serve as one of the three courses on which the Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational is played.
Adjacent to Del Monte™ Golf Course, the Del Monte Pavilion offers an inviting outdoor setting for any special event. Whether you are hosting a corporate outing or a tournament awards ceremony, all events are impeccably catered by the Lodge at Pebble Beach.

Post Car Show Monterey Golf Nightmare
Sand, fertilizer, crab grass. punched greens, sanded fairways, and cart path only. If you like these things then this is the course for you. No warning beforehand despite booking weeks in advance. The starter seemed to find it sort of funny that we actually showed up to play the course in this condition. A total disappointment and won’t be back.
Fun course
First time here and was liked by all the staff r very friendly and the course it self could use a little work
Nice people but shabby course
We played yesterday for $100 a person
Pro staff was super friendly
But the course was virtually unplayable.
Hard fairways with a lot of bare spots.and aerated greens.
Definitely not worth the money.
I would not play here again.

Pace of play slow. In spite of the ranger pushing golfers to pick up pace. Fairways were ok but off the fairways the sand was too bad. Of course one is supposed to be in the fairways!!!!
Disappointed with conditions
You can tell they are really cutting back on water and is now affecting the fairways and rough. Almost every shot from the fairway had a terrible lie because of a lack of water.
Over price
Tee boxes and Greens are in great shape. Everything else needs some TLC. The fairways are mostly dead grass and a lot of dead spots. The bunkers barely have any sand. The course is probably worth around $65-$75 on the weekend. We paid $85 for their twilight rate.

First time playing this course and really enjoyed it. But I was expecting SOME water hazards. There were none.

Course was in great condition with true speedy greens. Loved every second of it!
Not worth the price you pay. If your not on the fairway you are in hard dirt. Greens are in good condition.
1st Time on Course
First of all, I would like to thank everyone at Del Monte.
My wife and I stayed at the Resort 1 year ago, for her birthday. This gave me a chance to look at the layout of the course, among other amenities. After reviewing everything, I knew this would be the place for my brothers, nephews & close friends to have Father's Day round.
We all had a blast! C U soon, and thank you all for everything.

Great course for a good price
We played after 3pm and had a lot of fun. No waiting time, every 10 min a flight went. Good greens and fairways. Well done, I played this course 4 years ago and it is in a much better condition now!
