Not worth for the money
Horrible fairway conditions
Front 9 holes had incomplete contructions in between holes
Very disappointed experience 😞
I would not return until course maintenance is finished
This course is practically under construction.
To spend $40 to play golf at Rancho Del Sol at the moment is $40 more then if you were to play at a construction site. The first 3 holes were beautiful. Alright fairways, fair bunkers and mint condition greens. However, if you turn your head to the right, you would think a skyscraper is under construction in the middle of Lake Ontario. At least 3 unmarked GUR's on each hole finishing up the front 9, beyond horrendous drainage and unacceptable hazard's. Not to mention the state of the greens as soon as you leave the 4th hole. $40 is an acceptable rate for the course layout and and location, but certainly not for the current state of the grounds. Overall, Rancho Del Sol is a beautiful course that is appears to be under renovation and should be advertised as so. I would not recommend playing this course until said renovations are completed, the course is cleaned up and adequate drainage is implemented.
Good overall.
Great overall. When it rains it can be tough at any course but this one surly is swampy and muddy.
Hidden gem
Second time coming here and I will be back for many more. Course is in great condition and a decently challenging layout. Water surrounded by the first three holes will definitely keep you on your toes from the beginning. Back nine views are what I come back for it is beautiful winding through the mountains. Hole 16 par three is my highlight of this course. Not a full bar but definitely has something for everyone. And staff is really friendly from the shop to the bar and the starter. Great course especially for the price.
Course needs work
This course has a bunch of potential but there’s no warm up area besides a putting green, and the fairways are covered in crabgrass and dirt. Greens were decent. A lot of the tee boxes were uneven and need work. WAY overpriced for an $80 round
WHAT A VIEW!!! 👀👀👀
Started my round just after 1:00pm and finished at 4:50pm (3 hours 50 minutes). I’m assuming pace of play was really fast because it rained earlier in the day and that probably cleared up all the afternoon tee times. Started on the back nine and MAN the course layout is WILD! You have holes going downhill and uphill and valleys in the middle of holes. Hole 16 was AMAZING to see, even though I missed my tee shot left lol. There are houses all around the course, but it’s pretty wide for people slicing driver off the tee. The front nine has the first opening holes around a lake that reminds me of TPC sawgrass. There are some parts of the course that DEF need some manicuring, and the greens were running pretty slow, maybe because of the rain in the morning. For $40 during the afternoon, I CANNOT complain!
Good Course
It’s about what you’d expect for the price and location. Staff is pretty friendly, except Andrew, who checked us in in the morning was hitting a vape pen and made the proshop smell like weed. Extremely unprofessional. Travis also is extremely rude, this place hires some questionable male employees.
Great Course
The course was in great shape greens fast. Beautiful view on every hole.
Needs Serious Work
This course could be great, but needs SERIOUS TLC.
The beverage cart girl Stormy, is one of the only reasons my friends and I have come back to this course. But the beverage cart’s ipad screen has been shattered for the last couple of months and no card reader (so manual entry) The bar needs a new card reader too, one that has apple pay since everyone uses that now. And Andrew acts annoyed every time he is asked to check us in and do his job. Wrong person for a customer service job. Seriously put some money back into this place. Make it look better!
Way overpriced
Was charged more than the booking price by $3 per tee
time, $78 instead of $75. Since we were there already, I just paid it. The course 100% is not worth over $45-$50 weekend rate.
