Excellent Pace of Play on a Challenging Course
We thoroughly enjoyed the exceptional pace of play during our round. With just three of us playing, there was no waiting at any tee box, and we never felt rushed, allowing for a truly unhurried experience.
The course conditions were good overall. The layout is very challenging, as expected with a slope rating of 130 – there isn't a single flat fairway, making for a demanding and engaging game.
The only consideration is that the facility is currently undergoing construction and renovation.
Save your back play elsewhere
The course is in such bad condition I could only complete 6 holes trust me you will literally need a chiropractor if you play here it's like they built the course on a million pot holes I mean no disrespect to the staff there were super friendly but this is ridiculous and I'm not sure if it can be corrected literally the worst experience I have ever had and I never write reviews but I felt obligated due to someone getting hurt out there i can barely move from back being so sore and wanted to play some golf not go 4x4 ing lol
Hopefully something can be done about conditions or I imagine people will just get sick of it and play elsewhere regardless of price
Fairways and Greens Shine, But Facilities Could Improve
We enjoyed our round thanks to the excellent condition of the fairways and greens. They were well-maintained and a pleasure to play on. The only notable downside was the lack of a lavatory in the toilet facility, which was a minor inconvenience during our visit.
Doesn’t make sense
This is one of the few reviews I have had to actually put out. Let’s start by going over pace of play. As there is no Marshall on the course and way to many blind shots. I was hit into four times, keeping in mind we were waiting on almost every shot. The course was 90 bucks to play. And I was plugged not once , but twice IN the fairway, on a 100 degree day. I don’t just mean plugged into loose or wet soil. I’m talking a foot of grass that absolutely should not have been there due to poor watering and draining on the property. I was expecting it to be moderately well kept, but honestly, I had maybe 7 fairways in total, and maybe 1 of those shots was on a grass patch that you could call a fairway? The rough I understand it’s rough, but if you have rough on the side of a bunker, it should not be more than 2 feet deep because you fail to cut it properly like the rough on the flatter portions. It’s a hill, you still have to cut that grass on the course. Between the pace of play, no range, no real amenities, construction, course condition, this place should not be more than 30 bucks on a weekend.
A tale of two nines.
The back nine plays along the mountain side. Great views and some very good holes. Par 5 15th is a challenging approach, and the down hill par 3 16th is beautiful. The tee boxes were a little uneven and in need of work. The front nine plays in the flat with water in play and some rough areas. The fairways are not in as good shape as the back side. The greens are fabulous. Biggest issues are the bunkers. Nearly all of them are down to the lining and need additional sand. Working out of a temporary clubhouse until a new one is finished. No range but a large putting green. The staff were great.
great value
There has been a lot of construction of residential buildings all around the golf course. The parking lot is a mess till they finish construction. Still waiting for the new clubhouse to become operational too. Who knows when that will be. Other than that, once they get all that behind them, this course will be a 5 star experience. Great value for the money.
It’s all about the course!
This was my first time playing this awesome layout. For starters the greens are as good as any I’ve played in SoCal. Fairly fast and true rolls.
The front nine is a design achievement making great holes from an otherwise basic strip of land. The view from each tee on the front lays it all out there with pleasing sight lines. . No hidden risks, just get rewarded if you hit good shots.
Then the back carves out great holes from a sweeping portion of land edging the mountain sides. Another design achievement. The back nine layout and views are unreal for a course in this price range. Sure, the edges and rough areas need some loving care and don’t expect other frills just yet as the clubhouse needs to be remodeled and re-opened or built anew. They currently run from a temp building.
This course was worth saving and good on those that are making it happen.
Nice Course
Great layout, the course is in pretty good shape the greens are very good and fast, the bunkers need a little more sand most fairway are in pretty nice shape tee box’s are good
Need a Marshall
Pace of play getting to be as bad as Yucaipa. Greens are in great shape, but maybe a little long and slow. Fairways need a lot of water. Bunkers are pretty good. Better than Tukwet.
I usually can play 18 in about 2.5 to 3 hours in the afternoon. Yesterday was awful with slow groups not letting people through. I've never seen it so bad.
