About
Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course is situated along the banks of the Sacramento River. The course has a diverse layout with a few tough holes, but overall it's player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. Accuracy and proper club selection are two major factors to scoring well on this golf course. This is especially true on the par-4 sixth, which has a large lake that makes cutting the corner a near impossibility. Too far left and you'll face a watery grave on this tough hole. That is not the only challenging water hole you'll face, though. Bartley Cavanaugh's 17th is the golf course's signature. Although this par 3 is seemingly mild at only 107 yards, it shouldn't be underestimated since it was modeled after the notorious island green hole at TPC Sawgrass.

I truly enjoyed my day at Bartley Cavanaugh! The course was Excellent.
Great course but no range :(
This course I would say a 4 1/2 stars,
But since it doesn't have a driving range.
3 stars for me.
Very slow game play
Wonderful course but staff needs to take charge and make sure pace is somewhat going. Teed off at 1:45 only play 16 holes.
Beautifu February Day
Super quick greens. pin placements quite challenging. Foursome in front of us was ridiculously slow. Hot deal thru golf now made it worth the price of admission, otherwise overpriced course

Great day for golf!
The weather has been spring like in this area and the course was in very nice condition. Like others have stated, the greens are ridiculous--in a great way!-- very fast and very true.
The greens were like putting on a billard table
The fairways all tended to funnel back into the center and they were narrow. Accuracy was required but small misses had no down side. Big misses were a real problem. Not use to the greens so it took about 9 holes to get use to the extremely fast greens. Pin placement was done for difficulty on this day. Lots of holes in the middle of heavy slope areas that would not stop the ball.

Challenging enough although the slope and rating would lead you to think otherwise. Any shot not in the fairway becomes a problem due to hills, valleys and water.
friendly and fun
Fun course and friendly staff. I am a newer golfer and not as fast as some others. I routinely let people play through me and everyone was very nice here. Love this course and I will be back!
A golf course is only as good as the condition it's in.
The greens are in the best shape of any course in the Sacramento area. Smooth, Firm and fast and holding balls very well. The course is in overall very good shape and they have plenty of sand in their bunkers. Go play it, I'm sure will enjoy the course conditions.

I enjoyed playing this fun little short but tight course. course directions from green to next tee box could be a little bit better in some spots - I got a little turmed around after 14. Overall I enjoyed it and I'll be back. Thanks.
Lovely Pete Dye track
This is a fun fair walkable golf course. Apart from Interstate 5 traffic noise, hard to offer any crticism about this track.
The fairways were in great shape and the greens were in excellent condition.
This course is usually in very good condition, but the last two times we've played there, the course has been in excellent condition. My complements to the entire staff for a job well done.

Course was in above average shape. A bit soggy because of the weekend rain. Greens a bit slow but beautiful. Some tee boxes being punched. Staff in restaurant was very nice and lunch was great.
