About
River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

Good shape
We were pleasantly surprised with the condition of fairways and greens. We had played IMG last week and felt River Run was in better condition.
Back to green, just the way we like it
Nice to see the improvements they're doing around here. This is a fun course, for sure. Even better with the way they're keeping it.

Fairways need some work.
Played this course often over the years, but lately the fairways and a couple of the greens are starting to require some maintenance. Until things get back to what we are used to, we’ll probably go elsewhere.
Fun course.
My wife and I enjoyed the course. For a twosome the pace of play actually was good. Teed off at 1:40 and was down before 5:00. Greens were a little wavy.
Not for the rate.
They had one nice green proving that they could do it, the other 17 were burnt and brown with some dirt mixed in.
There certainly have been some great changes here. The rain helped a little.
It's good to see them constantly improving this course. It's obvious they put a lot of time and effort into it... And money.. I would like to see the greens and better shape as it seems they're cutter got a little away from them with shortcuts making ridges. Greens are fast, very fast. I still like this course.
