About

River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

Great value

Great course for the money. It was well maintained and the greens were fast which makes for quite a few 3 putts. Staff is friendly and there’s a cool snack area that sells beer and soda. It’s a very popular course and I was fortunate to get an early tee time.

Course is dry due to lack of rain. Most of the greens had partial damage. Fairways were hard and dry. Worth it for the right price.

Course fairways were difficult to hit off , course could use over seeding.
