River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

At a discounted price it was a decent place to play a round. Course is in ok shape. Some tees were beat up some greens need repair. Pretty open with some challenging holes. Would play again if discounted rate is available

Slow play
First time to play here as my wife and I when staying on Anna Maria, look for courses to play. First everyone working at the course was fantastic and friendly. The course however was not in good condition. Not much grass on the fairways. The bad point was slow play. There needs to be some monitoring of golfers who have no understanding that there are more than their foursome on the course. It took us almost 5 hours to play 18 holes of golf.
