About
River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

Nice course
Course was in good condition. Greens were fairly fast and smooth. I would recommend this course if you can play if for about $50
Golfers from Wisconsin
We had a very fun day of golfing. Course was busy but the foursome ahead of us were on pace. We're here for three month & will definitely come back.
Wonderful Day
My wife and I played with a couple of real gentlemen from Kentucky. Really enjoyed their company. The staff was on their game and friendly. The course was in good condition. Even though the greens were recently top dressed, necessary for their turf management program, they held my approach shots and rolled true. Great job by the greens keeper(s)!! The clean up is clearly on going post hurricanes… so sad to see so many trees lost!! Wonderful day at River Run!!
Good Public Course
Good public course for the avg golfer. Tough to get a round of 18 holes
Slow pace of play
This is a nice course but don't play in winter when snow birds are here. This course tries to make their money for the year pushing as many players out as possible. Tee times are too close together. Pace of play was terrible. Waited for a cart. Waited on every hole.
Four and a half hour round and can you talk to me on the 15th hole no more light
Slow
Challenging course layout. Very fast greens. Pace of play was extremely slow today, almost five hours. Two, three groups backup on every hole.
Northerners
Nice greens - fast but fair. course was ok. Good condition overall. Pace of play was only complaint. Cart guy was friendly and helpful. Thanks! Dave

probably best shape we've ever seen the course and the best greens in the area.

Great Day
With beautiful weather and a nice threesome to join it was a delightful round. The course is in good shape and fair to the occasional golfer.
Better every year
River Run has been making incremental improvements every year for the past few years. It is an increasingly better track at an increasingly affordable price. Unfortunately the course is not marshalled and pace of play continues to be an irritant.
Costs have gone up early this December. $56.
Prices to high for us who live here all year. Compared to Manatee County and Buffalo Creek, for the first time, River Run is higher.
Otherwise, nice course, shorter than most but the employees are very good and nice.
