Myakka Pines is a hidden gem

Great value and friendly staff. Tee boxes need some help but greens were very fair and fairways in great shape. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Rude Staff

I had a 12:04 tee time, and arrived early so that I could hit some balls. I checked in the pro shop who then told me to check in with the starter. I made contact with the starter who said that it was a very slow day and he could get me off early, saying he could get me off "right now." I explained that I wanted to hit some balls and putt and he then informed me that the range was closed. He said that I could chip, and use the putting green if I was interested in that. I told him I would do that for a little bit and then I would tee off. He then told me just to check in with him before I went. After chipping and putting I went to look for the starter and could not find him. I went into the pro shop and explained that I was looking for the starter and they told me that he went home early. I explained that he had told me I could get off early and they told me that I would have to wait. I said that nobody was waiting on the tee and nobody had teed off in the last 20 minutes and his response was I had a 12:04 tee time, and paid a discounted rate, so I'd have to wait. I explained that I came early to hit range balls which is included in their rate, but the range was closed. His response was yeah so you need to wait. He then made me wait for another 15 minutes while nobody teed off. Not sure if he was having a bad day or if the power just went to his head, but I won't be in any rush to go back.

I'm sorry that our efforts to accommodate you were unsuccessful. Once we couldn't get you out ahead of the groups scheduled ahead of you it before imperative to hold you until your tee time to not having you playing right upon them.

Great value the pace of play was slow even though the course was not crowded the group in front of us were beginners so we tried to switch from blue to red to play faster but we were not aloud needless to say it was a 4:45 day
