Purple Hair
If the bag drop Ogre and the snack bar Purple Hair could extend kindness this course would be a great play. They are so tired of people it is self evident. The grill closes at 3pm even though there is no notice. Hospitality and kindness is everything. Pay up and get treated nicer elsewhere.
Myakka pines
Very well run course. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Played 18 holes in 31/2 on a very busy day. I’ll be back
Myakka Pines Weekday
As usual everyone was courteous from cart guys to starter...
The general manager passed through the area I was in and welcomed me.
Mike the starter was very efficient and helpful.
It's a bit pricey this time of year, but it's Snowbird Season!!!
Great experience, good pace of play, excellent food.
Greens were true and very fast.
One of the better courses around for the money. If you pick the right time slot
Myakka Pines
We truly enjoyed playing the Red/White combo today. The course was in good shape and the greens were pretty fast. We played under 4 hours, a miracle for a public course in FL. Super friendly staff. We also saw the “big boy”, pic attached.
Fog
I called an hour before our teatime to ask if there was problems with the fog if there was gonna be a delay and the lady informed me that no there was no issue in the golfers were already going out so we went on our way and got over there and it was just totally fogged in, but there was no wiggle room on when we were gonna start our starting time was our starting time so we played the first four holes not seeing anything. Where were the fairways were where the greens were it was kind of crazy beyond that it was just it was all right.
Just ok
Have played here numerous times in the past and I don't know why I expect conditions to be any better than the last time. The greens are quick (but so is practice green). Grass is dormant but I would have liked a little more green in the fairway. There's a lot of nearby construction from the Wellen Park development. On a few holes on the outer edges of the course we met with quite a bit of dirt/sand from the winds.
Little rain makes for a brown fairway
The lack of rain has hurt the course like all of Florida. The fairways and rough are in tough shape. They are watering the greens and keeping up with everything else. The greens are like a golfing in a wooden floor. Not much you can do without rain.
Very slow and very dry
Had a group of 4 older gentlemen in front of us, we were two couples. We waited on every hole. Several times after we finished a hole they would only be 50 yards from the next tee box. No rangers around, no beverage cart, many of the fairways had bare spots from lack of water.
Rebuffed rudely by management .
I brought a foursome to the course that I booked on golf now and when we showed up we wanted 3 carts so that 2 of the wives who are handicapped and never play golf wanted to ride along with their spouse and enjoy the nice weather and see the birds and such on the course and we were prepared to pay for the third cart that was not offered on Golf Now and did not state thier policy . The course msnsgrmted started that we would have to pay the 77 dollar fee for the extra cart for the wives to ride along and we asked to speak to a manager who was very rude and unwilling to make any exceptions as they were not busy at all on Super Bowl afternoon. We explained that we would not be coming back to this course if this is the way they treat our wives who are handicapped and just wanting to ride along. I will be sure to let all who will listen about the way we were treated. Bad management decision on her part. We would not have objected to paying a cart fee and we told her that and she refused. She had an opportunity to take care of a good customer who would have brought many people to this course but we will go to Heron Creek or other courses in the area were they value customers and treat them with the respect deserved.
