Blue/Red at Myakka Pines Golf Club

It was windy that day, and the greens were very fast. But we were only two people at 0924, so we got done in about 3 hours.

We had a fun time, wide open and barely saw other people on the course except near the clubhouse. Might have been time of year but for a Sunday morning nice day we were able to take our time. Course layout was fun and challenging, staff was super friendly, and I'd definitely go back and do a different set of the three 9s there. Just wish there was a beverage cart!

We were down on a golf week and have been trying a few different courses. This one had everything and offered great value for the money.

The staff were extremely friendly and guided us graciously as first-time guests. Having the range balls included was a bonus and I would probably get there a little bit earlier for that reason next time.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Typical South Florida course, but with enough variety to be interesting. Priced reasonably. Highly recommend.

Played Myakka Pines, twice last week, great shape, fun course. I have read some of the reviews about the work going on with the new water system. First of all it does affect play at all. Secondly, I’m glad to see the course taking my green fees and improving the course, instead of the ole take the money and run, that is prevalent at many courses these days. If you want to have a fun round of golf for a reasonable price, I highly recommend Myakka Pines.,

We teed off on the Red Nine. There were 15 construction workers on the first hole, plus a number of machines, and a temporary T Box. Many ensuing holes had the same problem.

Booked on line and no mention of course construction. Checked in and no mention of construction or that a complete hole was closed on the red course. Played last spring and the course was in real nice shape. Today, many tee boxes were closed and moved to the long grass. I am not sure why this wasn’t completed during off season.

One of our favourite places to play is currently undergoing extensive renovations. We actually had the 6th hole shut down this day and the work everywhere will definitely have an impact on your round. This work will require a great deal of landscaping throughout when completed.

We’ve always loved playing here but won’t be back till New Year. A little disappointed we were not advised of this or offered a reduced rate.

Course was not in great condition but it’s always challenging. Pace of play was slow.

This course was great. The numerous alligators on the course added some excitement as well. The pro shop staff, starter, grill staff were all very professional. The greens were medium speed so that is always nice. Of course there was still some hurricane damage, but in time it’ll look beautiful again. You can see where the necessary repairs are in place.

Great place and pace of play. 18 holes in four hours.
