It's the worst course condition.
This golf course has been very hard because it's so unmaintained. Especially, the fairways have very little grass and only weeds. However, the greens were in good condition. Other than the greens, the tee box, fairway, and rough are all the worst courses that are completely unmaintained.
Good place for a hot deal 18
For northern Virginia, $60 for riding 18 is a good deal. The fairways are in rough shape but the weather the past few weeks has ranged between desert heat and monsoons so hard to gauge what they’re normally like. The greens were good though, no dead spots etc. This course is definitely designed to protect the greens. Lots of green side bunkers and many of the greens have significant break. I do want to shoutout the Marshall, Steve. We were stuck behind a very slow foursome and Steve came to check on us on hole 3, told the group ahead to pick it up. They eventually let us play through a few holes later, first time I’ve seen a Marshall enforce pace of play at NoVa municipal courses.
Not great
Staff was nice*** BUT they seemed like they were more concerned about a storm coming so they could close the course down and go home. They close the course at the slightest amount of rain, claiming the greens are flooded, but the greens were not flooded or unplayable and they still closed the course.
Impressive 1st round
I played this course for the first time, the course itself was very good. It's something different from the other US courses those are mostly very flat that gives players less challenging, but it's some hilly with waters... enjoyed so much! Really want to play again shortly with friends.
