Nice Course
Fairways are friendly greens can be very deceiving and tricky but over all was a nice round even though I had a rough day at it.
Great course quality but poor pace of play
The course is in great condition, but the pace of play is slow. Started at 2:30 but did not finish until 7:25.
Challenging course indeed
Beautiful day for golf. A tad windy but course fairways condition were good and greens challenging. The staff and marshals were on point. One thing I would wish was the presence of water stations on some holes.
Great course
Course is in great shape and no waiting on any holes with the course being full
Greens are growing back nicely!
Pace on Monday mornings is really nice. The prior week the greens were pretty rough but they are 10 times better after a nice week of spring. Everything was getting mowed and shaping up nicely!!! Well done greens staff!
A heads up would have been nice!
Prince William has always had “intense” pin placements, but mix that with punched greens where the sand has settled make the $62 weekday fee feel too expensive. The punches are craters and not a single putt runs true or with any sort of speed consistency. It really did make the round unenjoyable. I’ve always wondered why courses don’t feel the need to paying customers ahead of time that the course has adverse conditions. I have played punched greens that were well top dressed and it made them slower but the marks didn’t affect the ball bouncing all over the place. A heads up would have been nice!
Good course
It could be improvements to this course other than that it’s OK
Ice Skating Greens
I’m 60 and a 15 handicap. I’ve played a thousand rounds in my life. At nice country clubs and all over the world. This place made the greens at the US Open seem slow. lol. I’m not even kidding. Was comical. A 3 putt was celebrated. Tee boxes are in horrendous shape but I’ll give them a pass given it’s late March. Otherwise, and I’m sure they can’t be this fast all the time, it’s a nice layout. Place def needs a facelift. Old gas golf carts and very basic clubhouse and the driving range mats are pretty bad as well.
Unfriendly starter! Disrespectful to Asian golfers.
I played golf at this course over 10 years never once I made comments about any staff and/or golfers at this course. However, this morning my wife and I were instructed by a starter to wait until our 11:10am tee time which we patiently waited while 2 golfers can join us. As 2 golfers came up each with their owned cart but was told they had to ride in one cart together (which was odd because a group of 2 golfers behind us each was allowed to ride their owned cart, they were non-Asian golfers). This was not the first time that I have noticed that this starter guy has been very unfriendly towards asian golfers and treated Asian golfers differently than non-Asian golfers. My disappointment with this starter is that he told us to go to the tee box at 11:10am but then suddenly he waved at 2 golfers which drove their cart by us to the tee box without telling us why I had to approach him and we did discuss and ended up to the general manger office to vent my frustrations. I play golf long enough to know how to respect the game, people and treat others as I want to be treated. I want to share what happened in hopes that all of us who loves to golf can be treated with respect regardless of race.
