Much improved
This course has come a long way the past couple of years. Fairways and greens are much better than they used to be. Bunkers still need a lot of work though. Biggest problem with the round that we played was the course had apparently sent the Marquis de Sade out to do the pin placements on the greens. Almost everything was on a crazy slope which made putting a less-than-enjoyable experience. We hit some downhill putts that were barely moving when they got to the hole and didn't stop till 20 feet later, and some uphill putts that made it to the hole and then rolled backwards a foot or two. Beyond that, our foursome finished in less than four hours on a semi-busy day at the course. Will definitely be back.
Last Cold Round of the Year
The course was in superb condition. Much better than other courses we have played in Northern Virginia. Staff was accommodating and eager to please during these trying times. I would recommend that golfers get out to this hidden gem, we plan to play it much more often in the future based on our experience today.
Good for the time of year
Considering it’s early March in North Virginia the course has come out of the winter we’ll, albeit a mild winter. The fairways are really nice with plenty of condensed grass cut short and generously wide. The rough can be challenging due to uneven growth of grass and with some small bearish parts which the ball seems attracted to. The areas that need most work are the Tee boxes where a few are almost bare if grass, the first part 3 being noticeably bad. The greens are generally fine but the golfers themselves could help by repairing their own pitch marks of which there are many. A lot of courses seem to have this problem with uncaring golfers. Other than that, an enjoyable course.

OUTSTANDING value!!! for the Price..
Prince William Golf Club is one of the hidden gems in the Northern Virginia area for the price. Course conditions were just as playable at this time of year as the were during spring/summer season. Course Staff particularly Tracy always greets you with a friendly smile, an welcome you as if you a quest come over for the holidays. Luv this place.

Prince William Golf Course
Very good course for me, as a beginner. It was a little challenging, but I was able to learn how to read a course & get a feel for the game. This was the first full round of golf I played. The strategically placed water coolers & the mobile snack cart were great as well. I plan to return to this course to play more rounds in order to improve my game.

Prince William County Golf Course
Pace of play was really off. Most likely due to a club tournament. Course management has really trimmed tall areas of grass and brush, speeding up play. This course is open and bombers can really pick it apart. Greens were a little sandy. The greens here are some of the most challenging in the area, mainly because of breaks.

Fun Track
Greens were in great shape. The fairways gave allot of roll. I really enjoyed the lay out. When you use driver on most of the holes it’s a good course in my book. Definitely gonna be one of my favorites!

One of the slowest rounds I’ve ever played
Nonexistent Marshall on course. One hole had 4 groups; one in fairway, three on tee box. This happened on multiple holes. Had to wait every shot. Over 5 hours. Probably will not be back.
Great Staff
Course is in great shape and staff is amazing. Tracy helped me get set up and couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.
Great Course
Prince William is a home course for myself and buddies who live around the area. We have lived here for years and without a doubt would have to say that this is the best the course has looked and been ran in a long time. Thanks to Tracy for all of her hard work at PW. Look forward to going back this weekend.
Great course!!!
Love this course. One of the best values in Northern Virginia. Greens are in especially great shape.
